<br />
After a very extended period of time waiting, going to school and working 2 jobs I decided to revive the tweak reviews. Since I'm not using my old iPhone 4 anymore, it would be kind of silly to continue on writing on here. Right now I have an iPhone 5s and soon to upgrade to the iPhone 6, even more so "iPhone 4 Cydia Tweaks" blog wouldn't really make sense.<br />
<br />
With that said, I'm happy to present a new blog I've created recently!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://ioscydiatweaks.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">iOS Cydia Tweaks</a><br />
<br />
I'm still working on a few minor things, fine tune the little details and posts will start rolling in soon. Yes I know, it's been almost a year since last time I said something but I'm back and will try to stay consistent. Thanks for being patient!<br />
<br />
If you'd like to see specific tweaks reviewed, please let me know!<br />
<br />
<br />

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
It has been quite a while since my last post, and there's been plenty of changes going around. Right now I'm debating on restarting this blog with new tweaks, new phone, and hopefully new followers. I did notice a great increase in views and interest over the last few months, so why end here? Any feedback, positive or negative, would be appreciated.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Just want to thank all those who visited this blog, wether you're new or a returning reader. Keep checking for updates coming in the next few months!</div>

Cheers!</div>

Last one for the day! TypeStatus is a nifty little tweak that will show a little chat bubble in the status bar informing you when someone is sending you an iMessage. It works both in lockscreen:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh80sv8BCiNIYUFggO_YwbxwPFhY5AIA-LswR1YQ1eweb0ikmbgzeou_d-Aog9USZau_K7l16WCpLhfITR0mL9xx019BK7SynUQ-PfD4s9N2a6Egp_A5zWRZXq6gl9aS2mTi8yu5lfuOJP7/s1600/Photo+Feb+24,+7+08+58+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh80sv8BCiNIYUFggO_YwbxwPFhY5AIA-LswR1YQ1eweb0ikmbgzeou_d-Aog9USZau_K7l16WCpLhfITR0mL9xx019BK7SynUQ-PfD4s9N2a6Egp_A5zWRZXq6gl9aS2mTi8yu5lfuOJP7/s1600/Photo+Feb+24,+7+08+58+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
And in homescreen, as well as in any app:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNZ16Gzwe3sKOS0WdGo3bzbXc1H6XUMzunTqDzDqb9HyYiayFUzKvp_m5CXdYwSsEGf6YP5YmXDuWcQ65LbQJF37ecPJVStNG1NHONeBTWOEZkexyAcA-vZSqMTW6Zjsb1Rbr659DTmcmB/s1600/Photo+Feb+24,+7+08+55+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNZ16Gzwe3sKOS0WdGo3bzbXc1H6XUMzunTqDzDqb9HyYiayFUzKvp_m5CXdYwSsEGf6YP5YmXDuWcQ65LbQJF37ecPJVStNG1NHONeBTWOEZkexyAcA-vZSqMTW6Zjsb1Rbr659DTmcmB/s1600/Photo+Feb+24,+7+08+55+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
There are no options to configure, just install and go!!<br />
<br />

<br />

That's awesome, hope all of you enjoy my posts and please share them with your jailbreak friends! Follow me on Google+ or Twitter to stay up to date with what I'm doing. Here's another beautiful tweak that I think tops them all. SubtleLock, as the name implies, makes your locksreen look a little more subtle. Check it out..</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVyPD6Q2U4a0kuY-Azz235z15aq4tKy0tTadax18mRhg3Yl_m6ne__ic3A1ZyQGeQZw4eREP2_SyJ-xdgQtx904sORMclaGKDFjcCALvfmey0zf40hRjUfAXW3i0gZ577pPacSsFX_tzCj/s1600/Photo+Feb+24,+7+02+08+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVyPD6Q2U4a0kuY-Azz235z15aq4tKy0tTadax18mRhg3Yl_m6ne__ic3A1ZyQGeQZw4eREP2_SyJ-xdgQtx904sORMclaGKDFjcCALvfmey0zf40hRjUfAXW3i0gZ577pPacSsFX_tzCj/s1600/Photo+Feb+24,+7+02+08+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Now, there's only a few options to pick in the Settings app for SubtleLock.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZHLVbidWgn9jQ1jF-w7sHlUuMvifG5-7c-mpipDl8WXn2hDwR2eCgZIWgRxsVKhzKQjIfhXZXKVXeeXQ1WxlrkAzyY9miXNJwHt4UeLX0Bc2FdvWpDI3oCiX_fYJtjHqLgDGmQKubnNer/s1600/Photo+Feb+24,+7+02+54+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZHLVbidWgn9jQ1jF-w7sHlUuMvifG5-7c-mpipDl8WXn2hDwR2eCgZIWgRxsVKhzKQjIfhXZXKVXeeXQ1WxlrkAzyY9miXNJwHt4UeLX0Bc2FdvWpDI3oCiX_fYJtjHqLgDGmQKubnNer/s1600/Photo+Feb+24,+7+02+54+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
First one is the Enabled toggle for the tweak itself. Next up are Enable Clock, Enable Slider and Hide Date. Enable Clock will set the clock in the upper left corner like I have in the screenshot above. Disabling it will return the clock to normal. Enable Slider will toggle between the stock slider and the modified one you see in first screenshot. Hide Date acts similar to Enable Clock, but it will actually completely hide the date and leave the clock in the middle.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLlZtcmZCNLuPR-Rj0imnye2v6VcGtMSlfrdUveJrLyOfO9X3SkZ_mIQFCRBatgbDaOQ9ddPP31wOkyoGQn-hAYCiFCvYZN_AFUqFLY4xebuHwIIAXBwIhjG65XRHL0qc3HrrW_ttnfflv/s1600/Photo+Feb+24,+7+03+58+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLlZtcmZCNLuPR-Rj0imnye2v6VcGtMSlfrdUveJrLyOfO9X3SkZ_mIQFCRBatgbDaOQ9ddPP31wOkyoGQn-hAYCiFCvYZN_AFUqFLY4xebuHwIIAXBwIhjG65XRHL0qc3HrrW_ttnfflv/s1600/Photo+Feb+24,+7+03+58+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
That's all there is for SubtleLock! I do like it, even though I just got it installed! I actually had a list of tweaks for the past 2 weeks that I wanted to install and finally got around to get a few going. There's a bunch more to go don't you worry! SubtleLock is available in the BigBoss repo for a small price tag of only $1.00. Created by Michael Poole, SubleLock is indeed a nice take on locksreen. Let me know what you think of it, or if you want to provide suggestions please feel free to do so. I have one more tweak coming up!<br />

Being a full time student taking morning and night classes, as well as working two jobs takes it's toll. Can barely find anytime to sit back and relax, but sunday is funday so let's get to it shall we? First up is a simple tweak called DietBulletin. From the name itself maybe you can't take out what it does, but here's it's main purpose:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1f7POEF2VMFL8JPQymoTwLYpL1bsx0pcuNdpJ5fx4Bj_8NQCAJ1R885W9x4ILHbBQFWLWga_qarzkNdjA-caUflxwJS9_mkYgb8WXowptXWfuAlltd7HfKhyphenhyphenGkPNeg5TRVVCI41Y_yLWn/s1600/Photo+Feb+24%252C+6+30+41+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1f7POEF2VMFL8JPQymoTwLYpL1bsx0pcuNdpJ5fx4Bj_8NQCAJ1R885W9x4ILHbBQFWLWga_qarzkNdjA-caUflxwJS9_mkYgb8WXowptXWfuAlltd7HfKhyphenhyphenGkPNeg5TRVVCI41Y_yLWn/s1600/Photo+Feb+24%252C+6+30+41+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Look at that skinny banner notification! One of my favorite little additions honestly, especially since now the notifications are less obtrusive. Let's look at what we have in the Settings app..<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhskwNDuWwkAjzRGsHp8ErcvOR-G975aoGCtXIyD_ppqv1d77G5oAQe8migdNc1Zd0N_ln_-1Txg_4j90SevACV9SU0MJijCFZ8yfL4dvN3Rd2ZeSOC-0BNCQsUaFkXnLAs8nGdr8Bev2Ls/s1600/Photo+Feb+24%252C+6+31+44+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhskwNDuWwkAjzRGsHp8ErcvOR-G975aoGCtXIyD_ppqv1d77G5oAQe8migdNc1Zd0N_ln_-1Txg_4j90SevACV9SU0MJijCFZ8yfL4dvN3Rd2ZeSOC-0BNCQsUaFkXnLAs8nGdr8Bev2Ls/s1600/Photo+Feb+24%252C+6+31+44+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
You can pick either Thin, Default or Status Bar styles for DietBulletin. I have it setup to Thin, which is what you see in the first screenshot. Next one is default if you ever want to revert back to original without uninstalling the tweak. Status Bar is similar to Thin, only difference is there's no rounded corners. Application Titles let's you pick which apps you want to use DietBulletin via ON/OFF toggle switch. Smart Titles will try to include the sender's information within the notification (i.e contact name, etc). Last but not least is the Scroll To End toggle. I found it a little annoying at first so decided to turn it OFF. The typical scrolling animation you see in a notification will be played out fully so you could actually read what's in a text message for example. I turned it off because some longer messages took longer for the notification to be dismissed automatically.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUzTBhQng1lI5C7ziCjn9y8mhyEDsdSqjuv2pYhvz0p3AiAtb6Yy3baeBlZOEMnsHAVmwQgnTtySrzynez5D4Cac0r8XWfqmSYIj99q9zRbj-dom1PLS8u3Y4dyPcW138UzsjxJKeu9hJf/s1600/Photo+Feb+24%252C+6+34+44+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUzTBhQng1lI5C7ziCjn9y8mhyEDsdSqjuv2pYhvz0p3AiAtb6Yy3baeBlZOEMnsHAVmwQgnTtySrzynez5D4Cac0r8XWfqmSYIj99q9zRbj-dom1PLS8u3Y4dyPcW138UzsjxJKeu9hJf/s1600/Photo+Feb+24%252C+6+34+44+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
DietBulletin is available for free in the BigBoss repo, from one of the most awesome developers Ryan Petrich. Go forth and tweak your iDevice! More coming up in just a bit!klmahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15617812395492137113noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7843253794877265151.post-5900382410059943372013-02-06T21:17:00.002-06:002013-02-06T21:17:57.082-06:00iOS 6.1 Untethered JailbreakIt's finally here! The untethered jailbreak everybody's been waiting for! This will jailbreak all of your iDevices running iOS 6.1 and below. Yes, iOS 6.0.1 and 6.0. And yes, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, new iPod Touch and iPads. All devices except Apple TV. Not going to keep you waiting, let's get to it!!<br />
<br />
First thing you want to do is download the new version of <a href="http://thefirmwareumbrella.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">TinyUmbrella</a>. Links will be found on the right side of the screen, select the one appropriate to the OS you're on. Launch TinyUmbrella, plug in your device and save your SHSHblobs if you haven't already. Close it down, launch iTunes. Second thing you want to do is backup your iDevice in iTunes or via Wireless Backup. Now, preferably you want to restore and update your iDevice to iOS 6.1 directly through iTunes. DO NOT DO OVER THE AIR UPDATE ON YOU DEVICE! It may cause issues later on. It's always a great idea to do a fresh restore and update before jailbreaking. Then you can sync all your stuff back. Now let's get to the jailbreaking! (note: this is a Windows tutorial).<br />
<br />
1: Download the <a href="http://evasi0n.com/" target="_blank">evasi0n</a> jailbreak tool.<br />
<br />
2: Once downladed, extract the file and right click on it, run as administrator.<br />
<br />
3: Before you proceed, disable the passcode if you have one setup.<br />
<br />
4: Plug in your iDevice. Evasi0n should register it.<br />
<br />
5: Click on the "Jailbreak" button.<br />
<br />
6: Sit back and relax. Do not touch your device until prompted to do so. Let it do it's magic.<br />
<br />
7: Evasi0n will ask you to unlock your device. When you do that, you will see a new icon called "Jailbreak". Tap it ONCE and that's it. It will launch, and go back to home screen. At this point, evasi0n will continue doing it's magic. One tap and that's it, leave your device there and don't touch it anymore.<br />
<br />
8: Be patient. The device will reboot once or twice, maybe even more than that. Leave it alone, let it continue on it's own. No rush.<br />
<br />
9: Evasi0n will finish and say "Done", the rest of the process takes place on the device. Again, leave it be until you see the evasi0n logo at the boot time. When the lockscreen comes up, slide to unlock and there you go! Cydia on your iOS 6.X iDevice!<br />
<br />
10: Reenable your passcode now and you're set.<br />
<br />
At this point I'm assuming all of you know what you're doing with Cydia on your iDevices. When you launch Cydia, select wether you're a User, Hacker or Developer and Cydia will load all the packages and exit. Then you can launch Cydia again and setup your sources and install your favorite tweaks. That's all there is to it! Congrats, you have successfully jailbroken your device! I think now it's the best time to upgrade to iPhone 5 for me! :)<br />
<br />
Remember, this was a Windows tutorial but you can click <a href="http://www.idownloadblog.com/2013/02/04/how-to-jailbreak-ios-6-with-evasi0n-windows/" target="_blank">here</a> for more detailed instructions as well as a video or <a href="http://www.idownloadblog.com/2013/02/04/how-to-jailbreak-ios-6-1-evasi0n-mac-os-x/" target="_blank">here</a> for the Mac version. Linux is supported but I don't have a way of telling you how, I would assume it would be similar in launching the program, but all the steps in regards to waiting, taping "Jailbreak" icon once and waiting some more are definitely the same.<br />
<br />
I am not responsible for what you do to your device, if it breaks then it's on you. Don't try this unless you know what you're doing.<br />
<br />
Note: if any of the tweaks or sources do not load for some reason, please give a try again later on. There's thousands of others trying to do the same thing at the same time so servers are overloaded. I'll just wait a little bit longer until it all calms down. :)<br />
<br />
Enjoy your untethered freedom! And please support the devs with any amount by donating <a href="https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_flow&SESSION=PoIl-hs7tmfDU_qhJRHB7EsVWnd-p6ISUUkcl7VrQPGY3QbUCv_pY5bYPJW&dispatch=5885d80a13c0db1f8e263663d3faee8d569c51c61ce57e9125f793ea33988004" target="_blank">here</a>. They're not asking for any money, but I think it's our duty to say "Thank You" for all their hard work they put into this tool for all of us to use. Keep an eye out on this blog because I've already noticed a few cool new tweaks that are well worthy of reviewing!<br />
<br />
Cheers!klmahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15617812395492137113noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7843253794877265151.post-10713272100184707492013-02-02T16:44:00.000-06:002013-02-03T22:49:31.177-06:00evasi0nHappy (late) New Year!<br />
<br />
Due to the fact there aren't that many interesting tweaks out currently, it's very difficult to write posts on this blog. But, there was a team formed just recently that will be announcing an untethered jailbreak for iOS6 across all iDevices. I strongly suggest for everyone to head on over to their <a href="http://evasi0n.com/" target="_blank">website</a> and donate for their hard work. We can expect (supposedly) the jailbreak to drop on Sunday, February 3rd, 2013. That's right, just one more day until then! I'm really hoping for a lot of the tweaks to be finally updated for iOS6 so I can start rolling out new posts.. I'll keep you updated and will come with a guide on how to jailbreak your iDevice, on iOS6, untethered, and yes that will include iPhone 5. :)<br />
<br />
Again, I strongly suggest you visit the <a href="http://evasi0n.com/" target="_blank">evasi0n</a> website to check up on the status and donate. Even the smallest amount is appreciated. These guys work hard on their free, spare time to make everyone around the world happy with a jailbreak.<br />
<br />
I'd like to thank everyone for visiting this blog and checking out my posts. Already surpassed 13k views, which I think is fantastic. A little update on the phone: still have my iPhone 4, which works fine but I've been thinking about an upgrade since I'm eligible starting last month and wanted to test drive a Windows 7 phone, or the newly released BlackBerry Z10. We'll see, but since I love iOS so much I'll stick with that for a long time, maybe a small upgrade to either iPhone 4S or perhaps the new 5. Then again, supposedly a new iPhone is dropping this coming June. ;)<br />
<br />
Check back for a jailbreak tutorial as soon as it lands!<br />
<br />
Cheers!<br />
<br />
UPDATE 1: looks like evasi0n will be released tomorrow (Monday, February 4th). Almost all devices up to iOS 6.1 will be supported. Only update your iDevice using iTunes, DO NOT UPDATE OVER THE AIR VIA SETTINGS!! Launch iTunes, backup all your data and update.<br />
<br />
UPDATE 2: please download the latest version of TinyUmbrella to save your SHSH blobs before you update to iOS 6.1 if you haven't done so. This will allow you to downgrade in the future, it's a "just in case" measure. Not necessary but strongly suggested. I will write out tutorials as soon as I can (full time school and work are taking a lot of my time).<br />
<br />
UPDATE 3: Well looks like I won't be able to enjoy the jailbreak until late Monday night or possibly Tuesday morning. But rest assured that a tutorial will be posted ASAP!klmahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15617812395492137113noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7843253794877265151.post-2354184631645253722012-12-24T18:55:00.001-06:002012-12-24T21:02:31.289-06:00Tweak #31 - AuxoIt's that time of the year where I hope all of you can spend it with your family and friends. Still no signs of a widespread jailbreak for all iDevices but a new tweak was announced a few days ago. Started off as a concept and here we are today, released into Cydia and I just couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Auxo is an app switcher modifier tweak, where it's been created to completely change the look and feel of the current way you switch between apps. Once you install Auxo, you'll be able to access it via the Settings app.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiV0LlTPmkAbo45N16IAJT8A4qOPBevD7jXlZN_7kD9ku9pDGjPwHpQRpCcpWJIdkTHel-vtaiX_6Ar55myzJnaKnoa_j9jT6kMVUHPuN4PQ3IztUzZml0015vQd2CDfEvwwLI4u3TSXJ5x/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+2+59+54+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiV0LlTPmkAbo45N16IAJT8A4qOPBevD7jXlZN_7kD9ku9pDGjPwHpQRpCcpWJIdkTHel-vtaiX_6Ar55myzJnaKnoa_j9jT6kMVUHPuN4PQ3IztUzZml0015vQd2CDfEvwwLI4u3TSXJ5x/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+2+59+54+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
There are only 4 tabs you can access when you head into Auxo's settings: User Guide, Configuration, The Creators and Support.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyodymcNZ-RxKMrbnm51Oc9ynOESjgbqzjS8yzNOQEXTifeQJ-7uQRnK7xBwV4PavSzQ2lp06arYKB0SolLoseHkuoKaCdXctpH0q252RnxFryZk4QDctYvD-18pKEK5akBXYqqdcUtgoh/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+2+59+59+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyodymcNZ-RxKMrbnm51Oc9ynOESjgbqzjS8yzNOQEXTifeQJ-7uQRnK7xBwV4PavSzQ2lp06arYKB0SolLoseHkuoKaCdXctpH0q252RnxFryZk4QDctYvD-18pKEK5akBXYqqdcUtgoh/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+2+59+59+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
The little heart you see in upper right corner will let you send a nifty little tweet to the world:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBdajv0Q1JuZ-b5-Kgu2KOxpjuZZ_Ce63MM2kLdzJlPpfTZNsYyMvfZ6qpycIk5A_nCk0gr0W9whb-Y_EaOESghyphenhyphengffMnkFXD0gCstoiK0geDlD3OaIB9ug7QyJXR9aULT-NAVpvlpTxjM/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+00+13+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBdajv0Q1JuZ-b5-Kgu2KOxpjuZZ_Ce63MM2kLdzJlPpfTZNsYyMvfZ6qpycIk5A_nCk0gr0W9whb-Y_EaOESghyphenhyphengffMnkFXD0gCstoiK0geDlD3OaIB9ug7QyJXR9aULT-NAVpvlpTxjM/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+00+13+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
User Guide is straight forward, explains everything there is about the tweak. I'll cover pretty much everything there is to it and for those who'd like to see it in action I'll include a link to a video.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSDobfQsTjVL7oHpCmtmDdUF9tzrZjsbd9gCoQ7odiiAsZdyxkXqwLR_JD1q6eXUYwNtwSGKzaLlbeOGO8JPQkvcUQcc-tMe6TyUdxslcZ8Qoe_jCxyhx14VJHjncN6XVP73A1dGw0O4Mh/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+00+25+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSDobfQsTjVL7oHpCmtmDdUF9tzrZjsbd9gCoQ7odiiAsZdyxkXqwLR_JD1q6eXUYwNtwSGKzaLlbeOGO8JPQkvcUQcc-tMe6TyUdxslcZ8Qoe_jCxyhx14VJHjncN6XVP73A1dGw0O4Mh/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+00+25+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
In the Configuration tab, all you'll get is the familiar toggles I'm sure all of you oh so dearly love. There will be two rows of four, and I'll explain those a bit more further down so you can set them in any way you'd like in any order.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHnIe_T-AxhGrtf2KGAsaSNvsxy9LeItkEHwaumzA5tPgjuL3lyD67I6M65JstdLwDw_WzxL0Cm0-SdcTNMQWfZ2e4FmopzdYZNIdKp1DmykqVwX1MC4zjdyaAnUAnM7oBRqnPwXmbdwrp/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+00+33+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHnIe_T-AxhGrtf2KGAsaSNvsxy9LeItkEHwaumzA5tPgjuL3lyD67I6M65JstdLwDw_WzxL0Cm0-SdcTNMQWfZ2e4FmopzdYZNIdKp1DmykqVwX1MC4zjdyaAnUAnM7oBRqnPwXmbdwrp/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+00+33+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
The Crators tab will give you a Twitter link to the creators of Auxo's accounts.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiz4eX4Oy5Q9fB5rDBpz4z1U-Y6vidx3pS0G7O1V4dlbXUgjKLnYgWPBpFPni0qo6nvYrXRWH6LsF7PcfAu87xees7tS_UesZHuZuweqwJGMp2SSjtgvd_hysHgT9eYCZrKJWgKrKOBi5ah/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+00+42+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiz4eX4Oy5Q9fB5rDBpz4z1U-Y6vidx3pS0G7O1V4dlbXUgjKLnYgWPBpFPni0qo6nvYrXRWH6LsF7PcfAu87xees7tS_UesZHuZuweqwJGMp2SSjtgvd_hysHgT9eYCZrKJWgKrKOBi5ah/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+00+42+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Now, let's see what Auxo is all about! When you invoke the app switcher by double pressing the home button, you can already see the difference simply by noticing it's not just the app icons anymore, but a little screenshot of the app you used. The screenshot will show you the state at which the app is right now how you left it before switching to another app. Pretty sleek.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhqx-aYoIcpjBSQJMwhGHTd75KOt__qfabYEYXMnaBdTgugUksNKTPOEZqeOFVBsJLgPQ_EhvgNAXcQ4JYC50Nn2Fs_13XymyYzsE4u4nvYS6H4W7vTz-7hY_RXqR0QZpfUp6Wp8mMLBch/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+01+36+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhqx-aYoIcpjBSQJMwhGHTd75KOt__qfabYEYXMnaBdTgugUksNKTPOEZqeOFVBsJLgPQ_EhvgNAXcQ4JYC50Nn2Fs_13XymyYzsE4u4nvYS6H4W7vTz-7hY_RXqR0QZpfUp6Wp8mMLBch/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+01+36+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Scrolling to the left, you'll noticed redesigned music controls. I have nothing playing right now, but when you have music on, the artist's name will be up top, followed by the track's name in the middle and album name on the bottom. Tapping on the right icon will send you directly to the app that's playing (i.e Music, Pandora, Spotify, etc.). The left icon will show you album artwork.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgI3PX05Fc4ZhateUb2EgiCnfJU1sV4f9Fy49-x9livSxwDvgEctynp4llQpq-inABXiF6jmxsBQA-dC8CDN3oFUlpgqMc0YkfpYknHXLRHoKiOgXjYIoZJHCxkLSI-TySoPP4fXXAwCZUP/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+01+46+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgI3PX05Fc4ZhateUb2EgiCnfJU1sV4f9Fy49-x9livSxwDvgEctynp4llQpq-inABXiF6jmxsBQA-dC8CDN3oFUlpgqMc0YkfpYknHXLRHoKiOgXjYIoZJHCxkLSI-TySoPP4fXXAwCZUP/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+01+46+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Scrolling up will reveal the music volume slider.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGJnsZ9hHL7H7y6XcRrhuIHfktNKN1Yn5vaAx-E1LDYsizpE_aF6oodrQt1w1kcpxqgYZUORcvInivuprDM_v8JofwKIl6RjCnt0deZROgsfRfMit5h4GIE6wubsOcdSUL2GeO5LyJSuOG/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+01+52+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGJnsZ9hHL7H7y6XcRrhuIHfktNKN1Yn5vaAx-E1LDYsizpE_aF6oodrQt1w1kcpxqgYZUORcvInivuprDM_v8JofwKIl6RjCnt0deZROgsfRfMit5h4GIE6wubsOcdSUL2GeO5LyJSuOG/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+01+52+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Now here's the cool part with the toggles that were mentioned before. When you swipe to the left one more time, you'll see a four icon row of shortcuts you selected previously. From the list, the top one would be corresponding to the left one on this list. You can go back and forth into the Settings app to rearrange them as you please, without the need to respring. Sweet!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbSg7DBjG96YWGo8S9cQhHmR2cSFfXA63VHDvTZt2_3SYG2-qrJmLSgZsT4wzJ_h0g5FJfJ9wsnq-ghnjrLfOSM_YzxViRs2OlpejpDwqeo48kptu8WD1hySenktR0w1rmRABZLi9fjcKq/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+01+56+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbSg7DBjG96YWGo8S9cQhHmR2cSFfXA63VHDvTZt2_3SYG2-qrJmLSgZsT4wzJ_h0g5FJfJ9wsnq-ghnjrLfOSM_YzxViRs2OlpejpDwqeo48kptu8WD1hySenktR0w1rmRABZLi9fjcKq/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+01+56+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Swiping down will reveal the second row of shortcuts.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUR7quWYZCtocAvLiO_YZKGVHauScbjTgDonj2SPmXbxeE7uga5JR6KqAwrnvV4_KGM6QM_oktBZPdYNYUVP1DgximbyeMEkqg4_I3WdoAn4lcfQtc5p83jIWTB5MyD7nY9f2wIEQyzicH/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+01+59+PM+(1).png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUR7quWYZCtocAvLiO_YZKGVHauScbjTgDonj2SPmXbxeE7uga5JR6KqAwrnvV4_KGM6QM_oktBZPdYNYUVP1DgximbyeMEkqg4_I3WdoAn4lcfQtc5p83jIWTB5MyD7nY9f2wIEQyzicH/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+01+59+PM+(1).png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Another nice feature is the way of removing apps from the multitasking tray. All you do is simply hold an app and swipe down. Gone! Very easy, or you can tap and hold, and this little menu will show up asking you if you're sure you want to perform the action of removing all apps.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIbZAs7A6gIr4nE8dY7FfLK4WDFYVt75aeblMQnhlI9nPQViLb6aLAoxGIxFUExWN8pn0j7tHdA8O24vF1CuwbGgdWXkJTRKm9mpSzhzs5a9omqXDnLy7fEYkTuxD0CQkaqk_42sUxDlgw/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+02+08+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIbZAs7A6gIr4nE8dY7FfLK4WDFYVt75aeblMQnhlI9nPQViLb6aLAoxGIxFUExWN8pn0j7tHdA8O24vF1CuwbGgdWXkJTRKm9mpSzhzs5a9omqXDnLy7fEYkTuxD0CQkaqk_42sUxDlgw/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+02+08+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
One last feature is tied to the above removal of all apps. When you have an app playing music, and you hold the apps to remove all, Auxo will tell you that an app is playing music and will verify with you if you're sure that that's the action you'd still want to perform. Very neat in my opinion. As you can see I have KillBackground installed and there is no interference between the two tweaks. Both work wonderfully together. Auxo is available in the BigBoss repo for $1.99, from the team A3tweaks. Honestly? Totally worth it. Definitely go and check it out, really nice and simple addition to the iOS.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwp1Ebtig4iUO_INJ9asfDIA66ohZaYMq0zG9lZyrUXb9ATejVj1_JrBwp15YrhqSb1HUseAt_UJnnikCbegjRWp7NpDixdp3HLu0F9kR_-TdNi5vEhmyXiTKy-FDt-iTAPANXZQ_6ILkX/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+03+15+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwp1Ebtig4iUO_INJ9asfDIA66ohZaYMq0zG9lZyrUXb9ATejVj1_JrBwp15YrhqSb1HUseAt_UJnnikCbegjRWp7NpDixdp3HLu0F9kR_-TdNi5vEhmyXiTKy-FDt-iTAPANXZQ_6ILkX/s1600/Photo+Dec+24,+3+03+15+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Like I stated before, here's a video review if you'd like to see the tweak in action before purchasing: <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=J4Q_97exnJk" target="_blank">YouTube</a>!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Well that's it for me, time to enjoy the break with my family and friends. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season. Let's hope Santa brings us an untethered jailbreak across all iDevices ;) Whenever a tweak comes out that catches my attention, I will share it over here. Although there's some iPhone malfunctions going on right now, hopefully I'll get my hands on a 4S and keep this one strictly for tweak reviews otherwise I don't want to clutter and/or crash my phone completely. Thanks to all who come and read this blog, I've already had over 11k views which is awesome I really appreciate it. Share these with your friends, follow me on any of the social media websites listed on the right side and I'll be back with more soon!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Merry Christmas everyone!</div>

Spire and all others did use quite the amount of battery life and was a bit buggy here and there (at least for me). I've gotten rid of it a while ago and came across a different tweak that mimics Siri. It's called NowNow. This little nifty tweak uses the voice option via Google Search app which you can download for free from the App Store. Without that app, this tweak won't work.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhU3bleDmm2YEQEnexVzOjQ-dDUHr9rwgEFpg8d18gwveM1zsIO1rertNbmD9Z6RWoMvz2EOKYkQZ4ZUXtUMiFWVuwuy55F2yI5fnr69S90ggWeJVmuHsjjTsa93z8CpilAr2orPrRjeTU7/s1600/Photo+Dec+20,+9+44+50+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhU3bleDmm2YEQEnexVzOjQ-dDUHr9rwgEFpg8d18gwveM1zsIO1rertNbmD9Z6RWoMvz2EOKYkQZ4ZUXtUMiFWVuwuy55F2yI5fnr69S90ggWeJVmuHsjjTsa93z8CpilAr2orPrRjeTU7/s320/Photo+Dec+20,+9+44+50+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
When you go into your Settings app and scroll down, there is only one thing to configure: and that's how to activate this tweak.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-xHjfMuCNFlIo8N3MELAS0hAcHS9JqQJmm3HajA7MjjbjhEGf_oKgiFFADyZ_74_EEvk6qOGmysL4n4JB6ogohwVb9PG8bvqwk-fxBCw1IH9W7o0D8eW8G4CQC4W0-d8pw1KaTqZAOP1F/s1600/Photo+Dec+20,+9+44+52+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-xHjfMuCNFlIo8N3MELAS0hAcHS9JqQJmm3HajA7MjjbjhEGf_oKgiFFADyZ_74_EEvk6qOGmysL4n4JB6ogohwVb9PG8bvqwk-fxBCw1IH9W7o0D8eW8G4CQC4W0-d8pw1KaTqZAOP1F/s320/Photo+Dec+20,+9+44+52+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Tap on Activation Methods and, like me, pick Short Hold of the home button and done.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkX7ZfvYrur_gjnKWdAqYzt8DapyqUHkgkFDPb4pN5k4XzlNc-a-3lUvV3NGNtUNz4sSjYsml5TdhQk2csr4zoPMw3mW2KST_E9M1BbGr6M9FqoJPE5uTyv6o-c7y0-nXVHrYexwWtjPdb/s1600/Photo+Dec+20,+9+44+56+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkX7ZfvYrur_gjnKWdAqYzt8DapyqUHkgkFDPb4pN5k4XzlNc-a-3lUvV3NGNtUNz4sSjYsml5TdhQk2csr4zoPMw3mW2KST_E9M1BbGr6M9FqoJPE5uTyv6o-c7y0-nXVHrYexwWtjPdb/s320/Photo+Dec+20,+9+44+56+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Press and hold the home button and there you have it. Google Search app will launch with the voice command activated, waiting for you to tell it whatever it is you'd like. I've seen some YouTube videos and reviews where this is actually better/faster and more accurate compared to Siri.<br />

I apologize in advance for the not-so-often articles. There isn't many tweaks out there for iOS6 just because it's only limited to a few devices. But, just recently I did see a few that kind of got my attention so I'll check them out, see what they do and share a review of how they work. Until next time, enjoy the wonderful day of world's end! Cheers!<br />

I have a nifty little tweak that should bring out some "wow"s in those looking at your phone.. The tweak is called Zeppelin. Let's see what it does..<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyyy9O-9u8ZgSW6ZXaFp3FapgoufYIE6uMwVbEN5DcoWO8IS0-IMvRiwlPecuT93xtXoqwoj63KYUjurK2j04RcUJfGGm46f_vTdIFEfCE0lXM4uFQ5952iEmgjzP7HM8GqK4riZoqCeGJ/s1600/Photo+Nov+19,+8+45+51+AM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyyy9O-9u8ZgSW6ZXaFp3FapgoufYIE6uMwVbEN5DcoWO8IS0-IMvRiwlPecuT93xtXoqwoj63KYUjurK2j04RcUJfGGm46f_vTdIFEfCE0lXM4uFQ5952iEmgjzP7HM8GqK4riZoqCeGJ/s1600/Photo+Nov+19,+8+45+51+AM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Only thing in settings you'll see is the Enabled toggle and Theme:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhV_CySwBB2izm6-cEXpRFBw1lFf84Urb7YZB6lAuk1Mu8faKFWAvFoaWbmvMImy2vSBoBTeUEz2FSt-OnRsMCGKDln6CJk3QZuRCAtNvp1sr7NGEAbxjfhzfxV-fPT8FZBMm2lRrsBZ8GL/s1600/Photo+Nov+19,+8+45+54+AM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhV_CySwBB2izm6-cEXpRFBw1lFf84Urb7YZB6lAuk1Mu8faKFWAvFoaWbmvMImy2vSBoBTeUEz2FSt-OnRsMCGKDln6CJk3QZuRCAtNvp1sr7NGEAbxjfhzfxV-fPT8FZBMm2lRrsBZ8GL/s1600/Photo+Nov+19,+8+45+54+AM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
As you can see, there is plenty to pick from. I chose Dark Knight simply because, well I am Batman so yea (nerd joke). There a plenty to pick from, depending on what you like:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWvY4pAp5_7H312bWYUaRIjakksUQ_pa-4YpGUh8AsB43B5LqH_ouID2RUjtmFFdDj7RmkiZPee7trAKoKrEkeN44-kogh6C5JXA8FHLtZUm8LCOTr8vCPeh4lnZWxf1dCer5WS2D4ITyV/s1600/Photo+Nov+19,+8+46+06+AM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWvY4pAp5_7H312bWYUaRIjakksUQ_pa-4YpGUh8AsB43B5LqH_ouID2RUjtmFFdDj7RmkiZPee7trAKoKrEkeN44-kogh6C5JXA8FHLtZUm8LCOTr8vCPeh4lnZWxf1dCer5WS2D4ITyV/s1600/Photo+Nov+19,+8+46+06+AM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Actually, if you go into Cydia -> Sections -> Addons (Zeppelin) there's a whole bunch of other additions to this tweak you can install. Awesome thing is, they don't require a respring so you can do it on the fly.<br />
<br />

Zeppelin is a free tweak you can find in the modmyi repo. Go check it out!<br />

<br />
Sorry with not so frequent tweak posts, there's a lot of them that aren't compatible with iOS6.0.1 just yet.. But I'm still sorting through wether upgrade my phone or not.. We'll see how it goes but I won't say anything as I don't want to spoil the surprise ;) You can follow me on Twitter, Google+ and I think I have a link to Facebook too.. Share these posts with your iFriends and check back soon for more! Cheers!klmahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15617812395492137113noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7843253794877265151.post-76316377214003995992012-11-20T08:48:00.001-06:002012-11-20T08:48:38.673-06:00Tweak #28 - DateCarrier<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Back again with a few tweaks I found to be interesting. It's hard to post stuff up as not every tweak is compatible with iOS 6.0.1 (yet), but the ones that are and are cool/worthy of reviewing then I'll share them. Here's one called DateCarrier. Since SBSettings is partially working (meaning that certain function will cause a respring) I have to deal with not having a date in the middle of my status bar. Easiest place too quickly take a look at the date instead of trying to figure out what you're looking for, and as for me I like to have the actual date written out for quick reference. DateCarrier replaces your carrier's name with today's date. That's all it does. It works in lockscreen:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgo6Z3dP7f35K03ksSOk0iuVK_BAC-H-BsH5XDOb-Y1_H-lepTb2iuIn1kNuvlpC61QALjgH4_GrkgmUmV_IyCyzg-8v1Xw2LP5f-kSpXQHDfiwnlWgY5lLvY9K1__7ZmuNcy1wSf9fEXuz/s1600/Photo+Nov+14,+10+44+01+AM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgo6Z3dP7f35K03ksSOk0iuVK_BAC-H-BsH5XDOb-Y1_H-lepTb2iuIn1kNuvlpC61QALjgH4_GrkgmUmV_IyCyzg-8v1Xw2LP5f-kSpXQHDfiwnlWgY5lLvY9K1__7ZmuNcy1wSf9fEXuz/s320/Photo+Nov+14,+10+44+01+AM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Works fine once device is unlocked:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPNRSpxQTv098A-I_3T9uOfbZkif3OQ9XvKEsB65cWX2WRh6dhWWt8FAQajEgwgQKae_nkaWSN4poRVWzhPR5q41wrgNzK1IVWettXAFzclHpVeoBLIbg1FkweM3c6CgOxzRbUkkCCfPsN/s1600/Photo+Nov+14,+10+44+10+AM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPNRSpxQTv098A-I_3T9uOfbZkif3OQ9XvKEsB65cWX2WRh6dhWWt8FAQajEgwgQKae_nkaWSN4poRVWzhPR5q41wrgNzK1IVWettXAFzclHpVeoBLIbg1FkweM3c6CgOxzRbUkkCCfPsN/s320/Photo+Nov+14,+10+44+10+AM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
And works fine in Notification Center:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8h0Xvyhc75SIaBTdLbMP6y-YGQKiT6UdjL6UUoqFtC2qIAEIz0jGtop8TlvWojnPELNxz8qg39EIdD-SwaESdhY-4bMmoN6AqjIjKZJK9tJKWqKHdySfDrygrGRccRlnIQNRjHs2ydKp1/s1600/Photo+Nov+14,+10+44+14+AM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8h0Xvyhc75SIaBTdLbMP6y-YGQKiT6UdjL6UUoqFtC2qIAEIz0jGtop8TlvWojnPELNxz8qg39EIdD-SwaESdhY-4bMmoN6AqjIjKZJK9tJKWqKHdySfDrygrGRccRlnIQNRjHs2ydKp1/s320/Photo+Nov+14,+10+44+14+AM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
There are no options to configure for this tweak, just install and you're ready to go. It is a free tweak available in the BigBoss repo and was created by Bradley Friedman (S1ReX).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Don't worry, there's more to come. I have a few drafts saved up, but I won't publish all in one day ;) Thanksgiving is coming up so get ready for a few cool tweaks coming up!<br />
<br />
Cheers!<br />

As some people might find the (for example) Newsstand app useless or not necessary, there is no way of directly hiding or deleting the app. Well, it changes and I will tell you how! Just follow these guidelines:<br /><br /><br />Step 1: First thing you need to do is open up Safari and type in this URL <a href="http://rag3hack.no-ip.org/">http://rag3hack.no-ip.org/</a><br /><br />Step 2: When the site loads up, tap on “Hide Apps without jailbreaking” and follow the instructions.<br /><br />Step 3: Tap on the app you wish to hide but make sure you have the app itself on the device.<br /><br />Step 4: A popup will show asking to install.<br /><br />Step 5: After tapping on "Install" you will be taken to the Home screen.<br /><br />Step 6: A new popup will show saying it's unable to install. Go ahead and tap on "Done".<br /><br />Step 7: Whichever app you chose will be blank and the loading bar will be filled halfway. At this time enter the app edit mode or wiggle mode by tapping and holding any app until you see all of them wiggle.<br /><br />Step 8: Tap the x icon on the blank app to delete it. Don't worry, it won't be deleted. It'll become hidden.<br /><br />Step 9: If you want the hidden apps to come back just reboot your device.<br /><br />Step 10: Enjoy!<br /><br /><br />That's all! If you have any further questions or would like to see how it's done, you can check it out <a href="http://www.idownloadblog.com/2012/10/20/how-to-hide-multiple-apps-no-jailbreak-required/">here</a>.<br /><br /><br />Happy Halloween! Cheers!klmahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15617812395492137113noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7843253794877265151.post-67438127640025695642012-10-21T22:27:00.003-05:002012-10-21T22:27:54.932-05:00Tweak #27 - NCTabClock<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Second tweak of the day! NCTabClock is an awesome little tweak that might be exactly what you were looking for! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjic6LlhOzkeVg52zPAEDvb3z5HbRjNQYYDm-ooyOh9cFkNGYrkDYLJQkByiNhgpNZmVVwSC049zm2VUfjD2vm8A4FEzXoqiIUa9hr9m87BQJLJBgZgVkwMYbrDloU-YwAVv2Xwg5303rZO/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+37+58+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjic6LlhOzkeVg52zPAEDvb3z5HbRjNQYYDm-ooyOh9cFkNGYrkDYLJQkByiNhgpNZmVVwSC049zm2VUfjD2vm8A4FEzXoqiIUa9hr9m87BQJLJBgZgVkwMYbrDloU-YwAVv2Xwg5303rZO/s320/Photo+Oct+21,+9+37+58+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
NCTabClock only has one toggle: ON or OFF. That's all! But you do have a choice in your Date & Time options to set it up as it'll mirror your iDevice's time (either in a 12-hour format or 24-hour format):<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbO50mQamQ25uUhAk2VIueh-cs5DD_1mJcs7wtTAr69GP30s6er6lE0oeP0wuzL9exezzWRhwIQbop82hVPr5Y-EtcW1P4A-p36Jog_s5niT8azRKWLXMGXEAbA4fcQPjrHGDpH_CB8LaL/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+38+02+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbO50mQamQ25uUhAk2VIueh-cs5DD_1mJcs7wtTAr69GP30s6er6lE0oeP0wuzL9exezzWRhwIQbop82hVPr5Y-EtcW1P4A-p36Jog_s5niT8azRKWLXMGXEAbA4fcQPjrHGDpH_CB8LaL/s320/Photo+Oct+21,+9+38+02+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
This tweak applies to any app that will use a full screen mode. For example I have here a screenshot of a loading screen for the very oldschool game Carmageddon, which was released just a few days ago, and I do strongly go ahead and check it out. It's an awesome game and just brings back childhood memories. Since this is a screenshot, I am in my Photos app. When viewing a picture, the statusbar is not visible. You can't tell how much battery you have left, if you have a signal or what time is it. Purpose of NCTabClock is to show you the time when you're using full screen mode. That's it! Run your finger down from status bar just as if you were to invoke Notification Center and bam you get a little timestamp on Notification Center's tab:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4xMeRGGU1sEMHy_nnGwCrWRfUWirN1X3RI0n4HrS9O6pnGvyh85r0vljz56IDbmLYYq_v3HLRrIbrPxx08xHVK9INgi9lnVjxfTPdGQ191bmew4GkCyLCmODit_gUMswLpoiRsnwtcV2C/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+38+58+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4xMeRGGU1sEMHy_nnGwCrWRfUWirN1X3RI0n4HrS9O6pnGvyh85r0vljz56IDbmLYYq_v3HLRrIbrPxx08xHVK9INgi9lnVjxfTPdGQ191bmew4GkCyLCmODit_gUMswLpoiRsnwtcV2C/s320/Photo+Oct+21,+9+38+58+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
It's a great tweak that I think is worth it mostly when watching videos as you don't have to tap on the screen to see what time it is and have the controls blocking the view. Simply tap and slide down to look at the time. Simple as that and I love it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDdv5xpniBBj9FWezBPuuqpkNGy4gi0ryLKEzMPQG3DT6WmoEMexIeVotp_u3iqtXp35dLrYy0P3RxPY5Uy0NKxRtJLjacFnV2g3hwj_fOA3HlxqBIxJyRVtBp64lwCGWJf2bMwmP5DJKc/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+51+12+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDdv5xpniBBj9FWezBPuuqpkNGy4gi0ryLKEzMPQG3DT6WmoEMexIeVotp_u3iqtXp35dLrYy0P3RxPY5Uy0NKxRtJLjacFnV2g3hwj_fOA3HlxqBIxJyRVtBp64lwCGWJf2bMwmP5DJKc/s320/Photo+Oct+21,+9+51+12+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
NCTabClock was created by Jonathan Bailey and is available in the BigBoss repo for free. That's all for today, time to go to sleep and hit up school early in the morning. If you have any suggestions for tweaks I haven't gone over yet please let me know I'll try my best to get to them. As always, like and share my posts with your friends! Looking forward to the next few days, maybe an untethered iOS6 jailbreak is almost ready? :) Cheers!<br />

Hello all, time for a nice way to end the weekend with 2 new tweak posts! The first one is a little longer but the second one is a quick breeze so I'll do both at one time.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
First up is a tweak called NCSettings. What this does is to give you quick settings options in the Notification Center just like SBSettings does. Problem with SBSettings is that it's not compatible with iOS6 yet so I decided to give NCSettings a chance and I absolutely love it. Sleek, clean, and works great. Time to explore so head on over to your Settings:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwlzkoQSzv05OnfzB2xrBLUqAjsu376xHWm77Mqv9z-KhEY8f60ZzPn2-jLm1nDMfRzauiYfOpwV_xM5f3pYQahBMmcZP5aAL88IoHMfzekwTjjz-4bH_rtCkgS0W_3jZ1idsIDlwVXY2Z/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+36+21+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwlzkoQSzv05OnfzB2xrBLUqAjsu376xHWm77Mqv9z-KhEY8f60ZzPn2-jLm1nDMfRzauiYfOpwV_xM5f3pYQahBMmcZP5aAL88IoHMfzekwTjjz-4bH_rtCkgS0W_3jZ1idsIDlwVXY2Z/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+36+21+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Before you do anything, head over into Notification Center settings and make sure NCSettings is toggled ON. Then place it in whichever spot you'd like; for me it's all the way at the top of the list.There's only a few options for NCSettings but I promise you'll be happy with what it has to offer. We got Toggles, Volume and Vibrate control, Toggle Text option as well as Portrait and Landscape choices. Let's start off with Toggles:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFvNTfmj4fm18FuCvCqD7GuoffFpUk6Upnhyphenhyphenuzd0n03iRQe5R25xNtfZXS2ACjbtpBGibax2u2V8aujhwmbp_OtcoybdE8znRlakB41X2-9sKkxkICyt8tbx7AsWPBtKJIqnN-oVSVzcJ3/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+36+31+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFvNTfmj4fm18FuCvCqD7GuoffFpUk6Upnhyphenhyphenuzd0n03iRQe5R25xNtfZXS2ACjbtpBGibax2u2V8aujhwmbp_OtcoybdE8znRlakB41X2-9sKkxkICyt8tbx7AsWPBtKJIqnN-oVSVzcJ3/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+36+31+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
In the Toggles section, you get to select which options you would like to have showing in the Notification Center. For me, 5 worked best as those are the most common ones I use everyday. All other's are up to your own tastes and preferences:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-hT3sN0KXklbVI7kU3Lr5N5yfxc43gmoeHyDzKtjBywvKjhr-H_W-9LEO08ce1TrbITDTwaIcVRQWSa9dyZco0OLqmBI-f8Ejogm1uZB6B-dwPnFxvLXv5Qin0znGKrmtSt1IEIrli3zf/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+36+39+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-hT3sN0KXklbVI7kU3Lr5N5yfxc43gmoeHyDzKtjBywvKjhr-H_W-9LEO08ce1TrbITDTwaIcVRQWSa9dyZco0OLqmBI-f8Ejogm1uZB6B-dwPnFxvLXv5Qin0znGKrmtSt1IEIrli3zf/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+36+39+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
All you have to do is tap and hold on the right and you will be able to rearrange your options as you please. Very easy and simple:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4G32oIPE07RlEIo3vmlMy_oIPzuthj1OS-hwZ-mt7DRug68oEAAOGLx6PHFqjJnGTupLKDxDPxMITeuEgYRb2GPvYd8xOBfA59MQtMch4PL_9tNwnrIsXncktjvcgTItRVDw843IO9y6V/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+36+48+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="display: inline !important; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4G32oIPE07RlEIo3vmlMy_oIPzuthj1OS-hwZ-mt7DRug68oEAAOGLx6PHFqjJnGTupLKDxDPxMITeuEgYRb2GPvYd8xOBfA59MQtMch4PL_9tNwnrIsXncktjvcgTItRVDw843IO9y6V/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+36+48+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Volume tab will let you pick what you would like the Volume choice to control. Either Audio/Video or just the ringer. I have it set to both but then again I'm not using this option:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrI5EqIILp5Yc0xZNFsjkeHeWWRlgn4goaoJm0AswXt7nhRFezdNLZuLCBltOcclvk6Vj-JhQltywkMDeHkDSVLvmd3PdeAhF2i3mOXJQdSThICnO4XMokl3MArRry7UydfmlwBkq1sYyg/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+36+52+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrI5EqIILp5Yc0xZNFsjkeHeWWRlgn4goaoJm0AswXt7nhRFezdNLZuLCBltOcclvk6Vj-JhQltywkMDeHkDSVLvmd3PdeAhF2i3mOXJQdSThICnO4XMokl3MArRry7UydfmlwBkq1sYyg/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+36+52+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Vibrate is similar to what Volume has to offer. Mine is set to both but I'm not using this one either.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKR17DAbmc2KRXRl1SBAkK3ombGYymhly4z98DBdssLJAv0RDJOtXtfMcDJMZL62O1BTOFQFrpGfmoDyejpuS8mYu-5Kzmlo6ogWgRKpwGywobdxQKl39iOTCrxQUPUdKZ3p8j_I7Ik7t2/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+36+56+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKR17DAbmc2KRXRl1SBAkK3ombGYymhly4z98DBdssLJAv0RDJOtXtfMcDJMZL62O1BTOFQFrpGfmoDyejpuS8mYu-5Kzmlo6ogWgRKpwGywobdxQKl39iOTCrxQUPUdKZ3p8j_I7Ik7t2/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+36+56+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
There are 2 orientation option of how many settings will be shown. For portrait theres 3,4 or 5:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhudSX89FzgQgeditdl5tNg3DR9bRNXlSgkzzwauodbudT8b27wc5QYHosUiaNSayLZ4jWfqTt3f1mNFu59c1kgG95dIE8Vk4nL8kkYUGg6S4CwqmTUmhkbI19Q7MoD1MbbXFsDIv4HQZNz/s1600/Photo+Oct+21%252C+9+37+01+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhudSX89FzgQgeditdl5tNg3DR9bRNXlSgkzzwauodbudT8b27wc5QYHosUiaNSayLZ4jWfqTt3f1mNFu59c1kgG95dIE8Vk4nL8kkYUGg6S4CwqmTUmhkbI19Q7MoD1MbbXFsDIv4HQZNz/s1600/Photo+Oct+21%252C+9+37+01+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
In landscape mode you have a bit more options. From 4 all the way up to 9:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyxBDSLgDaT2iT4P320QZpZ-DXI1uaKUn5yYwIPEcuB-u0ya6YeBx9U6v3_let5s50V7YkDv0DOjdBFqfnOpqjppiRba7-ZJLT_1BRfL_gbDNjwCRk1neTVO7tsgirKi-F6SsjKJLozEzB/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+37+05+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyxBDSLgDaT2iT4P320QZpZ-DXI1uaKUn5yYwIPEcuB-u0ya6YeBx9U6v3_let5s50V7YkDv0DOjdBFqfnOpqjppiRba7-ZJLT_1BRfL_gbDNjwCRk1neTVO7tsgirKi-F6SsjKJLozEzB/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+37+05+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
At the very bottom you have an optional button to tap to reset all settings. The developer's Twitter as well as donation buttons are included:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCfPFpcYXxrIq2yqMLzYad9sypqgqn9wZAVvGyH93GCnfLtWCCWZ19l-SxUPW3mquU1OHIkzzXZyvxYVGuznfDRVa-XJp4vyTuHrRFdDrilAos-j_-6VxO9nWKq6CpJ67I9pVZLUa474yd/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+37+11+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCfPFpcYXxrIq2yqMLzYad9sypqgqn9wZAVvGyH93GCnfLtWCCWZ19l-SxUPW3mquU1OHIkzzXZyvxYVGuznfDRVa-XJp4vyTuHrRFdDrilAos-j_-6VxO9nWKq6CpJ67I9pVZLUa474yd/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+37+11+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Now let's see it in action! It's a very simple UI marked in red:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5inN_EBcgNWJt9daxfPYnz-V4_GrLwKjVreF98K062gsExYSnHHWZEFgjyn907eVGqU7U5ZV_YhB-jrpHKgFXpOpasn6QqfmWt240Q-vUiUlHMc9KEoYmHl54S_oOwB6Ah3XnzR-yxnH9/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+37+35+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5inN_EBcgNWJt9daxfPYnz-V4_GrLwKjVreF98K062gsExYSnHHWZEFgjyn907eVGqU7U5ZV_YhB-jrpHKgFXpOpasn6QqfmWt240Q-vUiUlHMc9KEoYmHl54S_oOwB6Ah3XnzR-yxnH9/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+37+35+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Excuse the white boxes, had to remove my appointments; Any option that you tap on, for example WiFi, will toggle a nice animation and a text reading "WiFi On". This works with Bluetooth, Flash, etc. I'm sure many others but I have not personally seen:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaIRwzdV_AA8_zL-VvdUrEN8_K-dwgxxWXoqvi73wbu2gM3_BWo4AXArvhCiPjU56jfw9jV0Woa3qlRqyoAJiIu1xdD4mFNu93Cqzmz1TrhNzpRpwn2S8_SvzACryPuTHajqTc1wfMPUj5/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+37+37+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaIRwzdV_AA8_zL-VvdUrEN8_K-dwgxxWXoqvi73wbu2gM3_BWo4AXArvhCiPjU56jfw9jV0Woa3qlRqyoAJiIu1xdD4mFNu93Cqzmz1TrhNzpRpwn2S8_SvzACryPuTHajqTc1wfMPUj5/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+37+37+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
And the brightness bar is nicely made as all others to match the sleek look of iOS Notification Center:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3ZswYRJ9OAMAOBOKC931pwHIJgQaKkdVc0onrxmZ-pjJq6rOzTanKbOJQDgA8ntCf_Ny80DRosmsY3Ya5BJ5bo5tCEzPqhfvAZDApFKBk8Ze5zGk9SSnBu2XXk-22FRKagVoLQJO7vY3a/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+37+50+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3ZswYRJ9OAMAOBOKC931pwHIJgQaKkdVc0onrxmZ-pjJq6rOzTanKbOJQDgA8ntCf_Ny80DRosmsY3Ya5BJ5bo5tCEzPqhfvAZDApFKBk8Ze5zGk9SSnBu2XXk-22FRKagVoLQJO7vY3a/s1600/Photo+Oct+21,+9+37+50+PM.png" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
NCSettings was created by JamieD360 and is available in the modmyi repo for free:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Go check it out, it's an awesome tweak that brings functionality to Notification Center! Like and share my posts if you find them helpfull. Stay tuned for the second tweak which will be coming up in just a few minutes! Cheers!<br />

Today is no different, although I planned on showing everyone a step-by-step guide on how to install Siri on an iPhone 4 but that was the cause of my phone crashing on me last night. With that said, I had to restore back to factory iOS5 5.1.1 and then decided to update to iOS6 since I do have iOS5 SHSH Blobs saved on my computer and on Cydia server. For one whole day I felt naked without a jailbreak.. So here I am with a freshly jailbroken iPhone 4 on iOS6. Unfortunately the jailbreak is TETHERED, which means that each time you power off your device, restart it, or when battery dies you will need to hook it up to a computer via USB and launch Redsn0w to boot the phone up normally, otherwise it'll be stuck in the Apple logo startup loop and nothing will happen. Without any hesitations, let's get this thing started shall we? First off you will need your A4 iDevice (and lower) updated on iOS6. Now you will need <a href="http://www.idownloadblog.com/iphone-downloads/" target="_blank">RedSn0w 0.9.15b1</a><span id="goog_603714938"></span><span id="goog_603714939"></span><a href="http://www.blogger.com/"></a>.There are 2 versions: Mac and Windows; this tutorial applies to both operating systems as its the same steps in jailbreaking on both machines. The great thing about this newly updated Redsn0w is that there is no iTunes involved in the process. Even when restoring from jailbroken iOS5 to factory iOS5, as well as downgrading from iOS6 to iOS5 (maybe future post?) no need for iTunes. It's great! I had no errors when I was restoring my iPhone 4. Okay, let's begin:<br />
<br />
Like I stated previously, you will need a working iOS6 on your A4 device (or lower):<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNnWy5KUugrHp_iPI3DWrJ1PxYZXnQGRdethpC6emDxCsXAt1fPUBUtLITxbmhdYCXl9OSjGjREc6AejD0qwm-Pgf-t_TsnVh6YaLkvvyOBoES9JXKV4NtResmFJFHlwVO764K8githAxr/s1600/Photo+Oct+15,+5+52+37+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNnWy5KUugrHp_iPI3DWrJ1PxYZXnQGRdethpC6emDxCsXAt1fPUBUtLITxbmhdYCXl9OSjGjREc6AejD0qwm-Pgf-t_TsnVh6YaLkvvyOBoES9JXKV4NtResmFJFHlwVO764K8githAxr/s320/Photo+Oct+15,+5+52+37+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Go ahead and launch the new Redsn0w program and you will see 2 options; click on "Jailbreak":<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_Nrg-ZbcQ3cpCCcH2f_780n36HFnqQOB3Udd3LyUA8KI_nsNDwF-1yk5ra4OICzd4PLGnrusOenw62DLSLfQs_vuCc0jGCoOnjk3OUcIQZkTVthjJjlpcOfqiFJQaeYfiX2Sm56PyCIXm/s1600/Photo+Oct+15,+5+52+40+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_Nrg-ZbcQ3cpCCcH2f_780n36HFnqQOB3Udd3LyUA8KI_nsNDwF-1yk5ra4OICzd4PLGnrusOenw62DLSLfQs_vuCc0jGCoOnjk3OUcIQZkTVthjJjlpcOfqiFJQaeYfiX2Sm56PyCIXm/s320/Photo+Oct+15,+5+52+40+PM.png" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
You will be presented with a screen like the one below telling you to plug you iDevice into the computer via USB and powering it off. Hold the sleep button and slide to power off:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdJQbCZgpoiImOyhkYREAR62fiLJM68My_dw04oC0Oq5rFLm5_mEvSRffKD0Gttt1xnnyX787c8Q-CRqIOmcgkbsDAjxvvi9DQS19P9Kf7tkv49bRwDxoKd95EQpr31gmiaezkN6PC9Fdc/s1600/Photo+Oct+15,+5+52+42+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdJQbCZgpoiImOyhkYREAR62fiLJM68My_dw04oC0Oq5rFLm5_mEvSRffKD0Gttt1xnnyX787c8Q-CRqIOmcgkbsDAjxvvi9DQS19P9Kf7tkv49bRwDxoKd95EQpr31gmiaezkN6PC9Fdc/s320/Photo+Oct+15,+5+52+42+PM.png" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Once you do that, the "Next" button will be available to click; go ahead and proceed. At this point the instructions will tell you to put your device in DFU mode (hold Sleep for 3 seconds, press and hold both Sleep AND Home buttons at the same time for 10 seconds, then release Sleeep button BUT KEEP HOLDING Home button for 15 seconds or so). If you fail, Click "Back" and try again. No harm done. Now Redsn0w will execute Limera1n code and the jailbreak process begins. Just wait patiently:<br />

Now Redsn0w will work its magic and you can sit back, relax, sip some hot tea and wait:<br />
<br />

Ah the menu all of you would like to see; make sure "Install Cydia" option is checked and click on "Next"; don't ask me about the other 2 options as I have no clue what they do;<br />

Baboom! Watch as your iDevice is being exploited with the awesomeness that is jailbreak:<br />

<br />
While the code is being executed you will see a popup stating that the rest of the process will take place on the device itself; go ahead and click "OK":<br />
<br />

<br />
Just a reminder that you will still need Redsn0w to boot up your device so leave it in this screen or click on "Back" until you get to the main menu:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpPMF-yeN-C__pj3R0w82GoN3FvETwRr4YOChXisbR7CMVH39k5WRSRzevLjbPk5BNL9PKdx_AeKKyoAWNwEIYi6ZLHJOC2lc0ooRT1geuLjHIKOF7O1-AHP-qAQx5LaHM7feiFNFW7BH4/s1600/Photo+Oct+15,+5+53+33+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpPMF-yeN-C__pj3R0w82GoN3FvETwRr4YOChXisbR7CMVH39k5WRSRzevLjbPk5BNL9PKdx_AeKKyoAWNwEIYi6ZLHJOC2lc0ooRT1geuLjHIKOF7O1-AHP-qAQx5LaHM7feiFNFW7BH4/s320/Photo+Oct+15,+5+53+33+PM.png" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the longest part of the whole process: moving applications. It will take a bit, depending on how much stuff you have on your device. Don't worry, you're almost done:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfi5S9UCk2SWZXOC9GvRPS9WwhuEJDcUP0YW7lSHStLgdcTHkntg-5FYxUaAtWD0R0i9dM_SMNI4MbNiLNHsBjlBoGgcZpc9UXmrxuX0fA_aIviGGYWKyD_bN2ju1GzEpMUh_mK8kFnA62/s1600/Photo+Oct+15,+5+53+48+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfi5S9UCk2SWZXOC9GvRPS9WwhuEJDcUP0YW7lSHStLgdcTHkntg-5FYxUaAtWD0R0i9dM_SMNI4MbNiLNHsBjlBoGgcZpc9UXmrxuX0fA_aIviGGYWKyD_bN2ju1GzEpMUh_mK8kFnA62/s320/Photo+Oct+15,+5+53+48+PM.png" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Once you see "Installing Bundles" then the jailbreak process is almost complete:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Voila! Your device will now turn on but there's no Cydia! Go ahead and keep the device plugged in and turn it back off:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEbkkiBpXf6VqSv0XdNa5sGyRt5McYv7pNRiucII1thKl1trWAxbymrNJcBfFZNr4ssNMGUoJ6TzHbv2FTCEQhJQ-SNS35D6sa0Tuvf14T91uP0hNQ4RP7nFo5biHnGorv9JPvtw5ZeYGw/s1600/Photo+Oct+15,+5+58+42+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEbkkiBpXf6VqSv0XdNa5sGyRt5McYv7pNRiucII1thKl1trWAxbymrNJcBfFZNr4ssNMGUoJ6TzHbv2FTCEQhJQ-SNS35D6sa0Tuvf14T91uP0hNQ4RP7nFo5biHnGorv9JPvtw5ZeYGw/s320/Photo+Oct+15,+5+58+42+PM.png" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
From Redsn0w's main menu, select "Extras". The first option you'll see is "Just Boot". Go ahead and click that:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
A familiar screen shows up telling you to power off your device. Once you click "Next" you will need to put your device in DFU mode (hold Sleep for 3 seconds, press and hold both Sleep AND Home buttons at the same time for 10 seconds, then release Sleeep button BUT KEEP HOLDING Home button for 15 seconds or so). Don't worry if you fail, click on "Back" and try again:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Upon successfull DFU entry, Redsn0w will patch some more files and prepare your device for booting in the jailbreak state. The 2 options to check are unknown to me, although they seem self explanatory, I would just leave them be until further investigation:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_KxYQkQC1ngsnsUAewPKu01H731Aa53n_azTHEZ4H-WyNpH2LRMKrjmOPZjzK9ZlXFvjaiWC8IjpGa8CmsBKX9tElrYf9BtTM75NdpwMU4hFv9oz33HiqEClhBPZevcb9g-IChLRUuhaJ/s1600/Photo+Oct+15,+6+01+44+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_KxYQkQC1ngsnsUAewPKu01H731Aa53n_azTHEZ4H-WyNpH2LRMKrjmOPZjzK9ZlXFvjaiWC8IjpGa8CmsBKX9tElrYf9BtTM75NdpwMU4hFv9oz33HiqEClhBPZevcb9g-IChLRUuhaJ/s320/Photo+Oct+15,+6+01+44+PM.png" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Done! You may click on "Quit" and exit Redsn0w; the rest of the process will take place on the device itself:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Give it a few seconds for Cydia to appear. Springboard might become unresponsive for ~5 seconds or so but once it does, Cydia will pop out:<br />
<br />

<br />
And that's it! Successfully jailbroke iOS6 and installed Cydia! You can see I still have my iOS 5.1.1 SHSH Blobs saved so I could downgrade at any time in the future:<br />

The entire process took around 10-15 minutes. Took me a little longer to take pictures for all of you and get organized with this post but it's done! I apologize for some pictures as they were taken using my sister's camera and they might seem a little blurry. With your newly jailbroken toy, you will need some <a href="http://iphone4tweaks.blogspot.com/2011/12/cydia-sources.html" target="_blank">Cydia repository sources</a> to go along with it as well as a complete list of all <a href="http://www.idownloadblog.com/2012/09/23/list-of-ios-6-jailbreak-tweaks/" target="_blank">compatible tweaks with iOS6</a>. That is all! Hope this was helpful, very easy to do, and nobody should pay for this as jailbreaking is a free tool available for everyone. <a href="http://blog.iphone-dev.org/post/41744653/donations-to-dev-null" target="_blank">Here is the Dev-Team's word on donations</a>.<br />
<br />
If you're still having problems/issues, check out <a href="http://www.idownloadblog.com/2012/10/14/jailbreak-ios-6-redsn0w-0-9-15b1/" target="_blank">Jeff's tutorial</a> on iDownloadBlog. He has a video explaining of what I did above. Any other questions, comments, suggestions please feel free to submit and I will reply to you as soon as I can.<br />
<br />
Remember this is a TETHERED jailbreak, meaning you will need access to a computer just in case your device shuts off. Very simple to boot up, it's explained in the last few steps; hook up the device to your computer via USB cable, launch Redsn0w, udner "Extras" you will find "Just Boot" at the top and follow instructions. Your device will be ready to go in a few seconds.<br />
<br />
Enjoy your newly jailbroken iDevice! Time to get some tweaks going, although there might be conflicts, be sure to check out the <a href="http://www.idownloadblog.com/2012/09/23/list-of-ios-6-jailbreak-tweaks/" target="_blank">compatibility table</a>. If it's not worth it, I might just write out a post about downgrading from iOS6 ;p<br />
<br />
P.S. APPLE MAPS IS NOT BAD AT ALL, I DON'T KNOW WHY PEOPLE KEEP BASHING ON IT... It's quite nice actually :)<br />
<br />

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
It's a nice little web widget (for the sake of argument let's just call it that) that will tell you if your iDevice is jailbreakable and what method/program will work to complete the desired task.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
JailbreakStats was created for that simple purpose of letting you know if you can jailbreak your gadgets. You can <a href="http://mofodox.me/jbstats" target="_blank">check it out here</a>. First you select the firmware of your iDevice, which can be found in your Settings app under General, then tap on About and scroll down to the Version number. After that, you select your iDevice and click on Check Status. A little popup window will show up giving you some simple information that I'm sure will be helpful.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Follow me on Twitter and/or Google+ and make sure to come back often for new posts from me; I have something planned out for the weekend and I hope it'll be as exciting and informative as it was for me. Don't forget to like and share my blog with your fellow iDevice friends! I really appreciate it!</div>
<div>
<br />
<br />
UPDATE: Forgot to mention this old guide I had in my bookmarks called <a href="http://www.limera1n.cc/p/all-jailbreak-guides-iphone-ipod-touch.html" target="_blank">Jailbreak Wizard</a>. This is the original site I used for quick look up to figure out if an iDevice could be jailbroken. Select your iDevice, select the model, what iOS is running on it (again, it's under Settings->General->About) which would be the Version number, BaseBand is the very last number in the About section, and finally select the operating system of the computer you're using. Click on Check your iDevice and there you go! Simple rundown of the information you're looking for.<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
Cheers!</div>

Here we go again with another tweak! Browser Changer lets you pick out a different browser, other than Safari. It's a simple tweak that work great and comes in handy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgDsuis2BRZng_tAAQL0n1c2GJNgZhQ39cj-47546xwimb0dDRaYe0igyt3CPHHJhcFBNNymb834hy3lLoxs49zsJs-NgOU43-qZF17SSdPKW1-J70nEj1cXnPYZBipfc_ZCtjmYLEQwyn/s1600/Photo+Oct+07,+3+04+16+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgDsuis2BRZng_tAAQL0n1c2GJNgZhQ39cj-47546xwimb0dDRaYe0igyt3CPHHJhcFBNNymb834hy3lLoxs49zsJs-NgOU43-qZF17SSdPKW1-J70nEj1cXnPYZBipfc_ZCtjmYLEQwyn/s320/Photo+Oct+07,+3+04+16+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
First option of course is the enabled toggle as well as the default browser you can choose. The list is pretty lengthy so I will not upload screenshots but I'll include a list of all available browser that are supported. Of course this tweak applies to Google Maps and Youtube apps. It does work with other apps (like Mail) as well. Included is an option to donate to the developer: tom-go.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_LI5JbmprPHRwn8nAbk6K50olOhAv2wmW3bxdFOJJ62ynGiPPmaavUVVrZrCV8C2sGEpP_cZQCy6YXmjFU0s52v0mx5vOzMVKPfFubUVcb3for6imJblDeMHdkn3ivtIZs5HulEuNRxHC/s1600/Photo+Oct+07,+3+04+20+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_LI5JbmprPHRwn8nAbk6K50olOhAv2wmW3bxdFOJJ62ynGiPPmaavUVVrZrCV8C2sGEpP_cZQCy6YXmjFU0s52v0mx5vOzMVKPfFubUVcb3for6imJblDeMHdkn3ivtIZs5HulEuNRxHC/s320/Photo+Oct+07,+3+04+20+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Here's a list of all browsers that are supported and as you can see I chose Chrome. Works great, fast, and does the job I need it to do.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Browser Changer is available for free on the BigBoss repository. You can follow me on Google+ and Twitter. I'll try to post something at least once a week. Untill next time, enjoy your Sunday! Cheers!klmahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15617812395492137113noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7843253794877265151.post-66222433048692302252012-10-03T20:05:00.002-05:002012-10-03T20:05:35.383-05:00iOS6 and Jailbreak StatusHello World!<br />
<br />
After much consideration and a very long (8 months or so) absence from posting, I decided to continue on with this blog. My friend, who is a journalism major, looked over some of the posts I wrote and said they're really good (Thanks Byra!). I will try to post something up at least once a week, or any time that I feel the need to. We'll start this one off with some information regarding the newly released iOS6, iPhone 5 and the status of tethered/untethered jailbreak. The new iPhone 5 on iOS6 is sleek and fancy. I had doubts about it, but after checking out my friend's i do have to admit it that it's really nice. Sadly, I'm still on my trustworthy iPhone 4 :) At this time, unfortunately, iOS6 can only be jailbroken TETHERED on A4 devices (like the iPhone 4). Another thing that's "bad" is that you have to install Cydia in a weird, funky way which can all be described <a href="http://www.idownloadblog.com/2012/09/19/how-to-jailbreak-ios-6-and-install-cydia/">right over here</a>. There is currently no word (that I know of) on the status of iPhone 5 being jailbroken. Although, few weeks ago I did see a Tweet by Chpwn who owns a <a href="http://www.idownloadblog.com/2012/09/21/iphone-5-jailbroken/">jailbroken iPhone 5</a>. Lastly, I am either staying on iOS5 untethered for a little longer or might soon update over to iOS6. If I do, then I'll have a full article written out on my experience with it and try to walkthrough anyone who reads it in the most simplistic way, just to make it very easy and understandable. Previously you had to restore to factory iOS with SHSH blobs stitched to the correct IPSW file, then go into iTunes, hold Shift and click on Restore, select the newly stitched IPSW and wait for it to go or give you an error; but my friend updated her iPhone 4S few hours ago without any issues, straight through iTunes. No idea how, she just clicked restore and update, no problems and no errors. Again, I will write something out here if I do decide to update my phone to iOS6. Until then, I'm awaiting a free upgrade from Verizon, which is due in January of 2013 ;)<br />
<br />
One last thing that made me decide to write this article is to inform you which tweaks are compatible with the new iOS6. If you did update, if you did jailbreak and installed Cydia and you're wondering which tweaks will work with iOS6, you can find out <a href="http://www.idownloadblog.com/2012/09/23/list-of-ios-6-jailbreak-tweaks/">right here</a>. That table is constantly being updated, so bookmark it and check back often.<br />
<br />
That's all for now, hopefully I'll have something good to write up for all of you. I am really surprised that this blog already went over 7k views! Thanks to all who read what I shared with you, I really hope it helped out. If any questions arise, please do ask and I will try to answer to the best of my knowledge.<br />
<br />
Credit goes to iDownloadBlog for awesome articles which I'll always love to use as a source of information.<br />

It's called Cyntact and all it does is adds a picture in your contacts next to the contact names:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYFjUDVTRtVBZSNBn9ZHMV0KwW9rRIgo6FABuANbFk5Ra1QUaCV8D4GmcEPg0kaHC_8UKDyCecwpwXUjRzIES_Jx2jOowlQzCBtCZlPPrRm3c1F6VdiBYljzXndpqtdY5FItZ6erRV-Txj/s1600/Photo+Jan+29,+10+35+29+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYFjUDVTRtVBZSNBn9ZHMV0KwW9rRIgo6FABuANbFk5Ra1QUaCV8D4GmcEPg0kaHC_8UKDyCecwpwXUjRzIES_Jx2jOowlQzCBtCZlPPrRm3c1F6VdiBYljzXndpqtdY5FItZ6erRV-Txj/s320/Photo+Jan+29,+10+35+29+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Now don't get this mixed up with Facebook sync etc you need your own pics for your contacts but once set you can delete them from your photos album and when you backup your iDevice they will be there until you change the pictures or remove the contacts. Cyntact is availble from the Cydia/Telesphoreo repo for $1.00 from Mr. Cydia himself, Jay Freeman (saurik).<br />
<br />

Snowy night but sunny day today! I have a double special for you today so hang on tight! First let's start off with a pretty cool tweak called Overflow. Head on over to your Settings to check it out.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieTNISGFmArJ0SU-rnP-Hom7qJOkaFJ6-7JUFkiOFI7SixgnuGQ_zcePwwvotbf0odgG8MydgHuXB57DEGyFEW8JyjoV-GTS7k9mqvrOQdn-V2xbb2ukHBxAPqiqawbBBgRDIDC41Pk4s8/s1600/Photo+Jan+28,+10+57+48+AM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieTNISGFmArJ0SU-rnP-Hom7qJOkaFJ6-7JUFkiOFI7SixgnuGQ_zcePwwvotbf0odgG8MydgHuXB57DEGyFEW8JyjoV-GTS7k9mqvrOQdn-V2xbb2ukHBxAPqiqawbBBgRDIDC41Pk4s8/s320/Photo+Jan+28,+10+57+48+AM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Would you look at that, only one option. There's only one toggle to enable the tweak itself and that's it! For me, I had to disable and re-enable again for Overflow to kick in. Go to your homescreen to see what it does.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCchZvziZPLQ6gdS46r5WWkOnoKRBWyoDeJK7pnvVwVsK_seJlNbItNs76OPdvnrB3yimmTgwzSQT0wgDmVVFHzfMHI3P46cIgcEMSO1MV-CVp2bN-_67bSv9sg4jmm8I9bCVx_KUWawcM/s1600/Photo+Jan+28,+10+57+50+AM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCchZvziZPLQ6gdS46r5WWkOnoKRBWyoDeJK7pnvVwVsK_seJlNbItNs76OPdvnrB3yimmTgwzSQT0wgDmVVFHzfMHI3P46cIgcEMSO1MV-CVp2bN-_67bSv9sg4jmm8I9bCVx_KUWawcM/s320/Photo+Jan+28,+10+57+50+AM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Here it is. Overflow makes a nice little arrangement of your docked icons into that coverflow style you see in iTunes or your iPod/Music when in landscape mode. Now the developer states that it's best used with chpwn's Infinidock since you can add so many more icons to the dock and scroll, which Coverflow will animate the icons as well! I couldn't really take a good screenshot of the animation but the Cydia package has one that shows it off really good. But install it and you'll see for yourselves :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_hcPtt1g3jo0e_NNg33u6Y1HXfze5BdTsvYI_ZRP1FqKPYF9gUCHR1lJ6uT3DXVqcOPF9NB7jfgSRbxP_m1rAoRw80KD4exzZuWOI-cyfTneZYhUjL11HtpyWeiG09yyADpnihW3nVW9X/s1600/Photo+Jan+28,+10+57+56+AM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_hcPtt1g3jo0e_NNg33u6Y1HXfze5BdTsvYI_ZRP1FqKPYF9gUCHR1lJ6uT3DXVqcOPF9NB7jfgSRbxP_m1rAoRw80KD4exzZuWOI-cyfTneZYhUjL11HtpyWeiG09yyADpnihW3nVW9X/s320/Photo+Jan+28,+10+57+56+AM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Coverflow is available in the BigBoss repo for $0.99, created by Adam Bell. It does add a very nice touch to the dock.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgk3OTYdOUxN2uUrZvN8uk759hauGqzwwkc747aMYYOln3C6y38eYdG3zWng9vtJR7duS9yzlucoqlU5TieW44d8mYcueLdVJeVlhW57Yi1bT6WuqPwjBSLAhyLKrGK5Mrkdu4xhMfWrc-z/s1600/Photo+Jan+28,+10+58+55+AM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgk3OTYdOUxN2uUrZvN8uk759hauGqzwwkc747aMYYOln3C6y38eYdG3zWng9vtJR7duS9yzlucoqlU5TieW44d8mYcueLdVJeVlhW57Yi1bT6WuqPwjBSLAhyLKrGK5Mrkdu4xhMfWrc-z/s320/Photo+Jan+28,+10+58+55+AM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
One more coming up soon, one of my favorites which just recently got updated for iOS 5. In the meantime you can follow me on Twitter or add on Google+ say hi, throw out suggestions for reviews or just keep up with what's going on out there. Cheers!klmahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15617812395492137113noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7843253794877265151.post-27775073675593471542012-01-20T14:02:00.001-06:002012-01-20T14:02:16.440-06:00Tweak #22 - biteSMSWell now, it's been a very long break from writing but I am kind of low on tweaks so I will be releasing an article or two per week (to hopefully see a new interesting tweak to come out in the meantime so I can write about it). I already have a nice one that I will write about either tomorrow or Sunday. Actually two other ones that are quite nice :) To kick this weekend off, biteSMS is one of the most popular tweaks out there. It overwrites the stock Messages app and adds quite a nice load of features that the stock Messages app is missing. There are no options in the Settings app so go ahead and launch your biteSMS app (the big ol pink icon, which is very hard to not notice ha).<br />
<br />

<br />
Once inside, first thing you'll notice is the contact pics feature. Very nice addition (yes I removed my contact names and the content of the messages). Go ahead and tap on that little gear up top next to the "Messages" heading, that will lead you into biteSMS settings.<br />
<br />

<br />
Now here is where all the fun starts. I have 38 pics in this article to go through and there's still more settings that I did not take a snapshot of. First things first, the about tab. Tap on it to learn everything you need to know about biteSMS. There is 2 different send methods to pick from, one (obviously) is your regular carrier messages or biteSMS (just like Skype, you can purchase credits to send text messages so technically you don't even need a text plan from your provider if you feel they're ripping you off).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUmNBiZ2WrG5FDOjE2mWsvBaZglSf5w-NnXvG8f83jWeXMD9J5kQvIS5_yvsKBw-dCdEqrCvtNUvf_EKQ7paVTEWiWmnjIkrptDU8FeEK9cMikNYf0nrat77iDpOB8kKesK3H0Pl7OeHcs/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+52+14+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUmNBiZ2WrG5FDOjE2mWsvBaZglSf5w-NnXvG8f83jWeXMD9J5kQvIS5_yvsKBw-dCdEqrCvtNUvf_EKQ7paVTEWiWmnjIkrptDU8FeEK9cMikNYf0nrat77iDpOB8kKesK3H0Pl7OeHcs/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+52+14+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
I'm not quite sure what the override send method is but I assume that you can select which contacts to use biteSMS credits or mobile carrier plan.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiTH0dYOD9hY9WtRNrHNTeoFewjZ1dS9lYaS0Sul9k0n9Emay6R1F-FDhVORp-4Jdb-429yYt5SU6pUqCQsMkIkBqx9URpezdFTxg4jc99A-q1mqjxGVYK9tFl4OzJG08AUkRr3c_E0puX/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+53+09+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiTH0dYOD9hY9WtRNrHNTeoFewjZ1dS9lYaS0Sul9k0n9Emay6R1F-FDhVORp-4Jdb-429yYt5SU6pUqCQsMkIkBqx9URpezdFTxg4jc99A-q1mqjxGVYK9tFl4OzJG08AUkRr3c_E0puX/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+53+09+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Looks like I'm missing a pic but below the credits/license/ads info tabs there is one place to restore. I assume it let's you restore your license in case you receive errors from biteSMS (as in, you're still on trial period when you paid for this tweak and should be fully available).<br />
<br />

<br />
Let's get to all the nifty features biteSMS has to offer. We'll start off with quick compose.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrb7Lj-XbuKeJPSbrPV3WNBCIk1zRqRcrcCERNECU5vzGc-zbcmiCfRRv1Z2R4VbkFpvuaqm8ro2SrXTF-OOKDuw1BZquC43LhEaNcBZQW-QXhtQeCziXmmS9erPfPD-n6GyP7FrjJKXU7/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+53+29+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrb7Lj-XbuKeJPSbrPV3WNBCIk1zRqRcrcCERNECU5vzGc-zbcmiCfRRv1Z2R4VbkFpvuaqm8ro2SrXTF-OOKDuw1BZquC43LhEaNcBZQW-QXhtQeCziXmmS9erPfPD-n6GyP7FrjJKXU7/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+53+29+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
What quickcompose is just that, let's you quickly compose a message anywhere on your iDevice. There are two options to toggle it, one is the volume and tap (when you set your volume, you will see a popup saying something like "touch here to quick compose" and it will launch the quick compose window) or the Notification Center icon, which I have set it to. You can also use Activator to setup your own quick compose launch. I don't use shortcuts so I don't really know what they do.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggSJPwPLGol7VIgUi2HvW4gI4ei5otjzCsuSj5QaeqJ2Q_IaLar1u4w-pRB4l8j80XdGZ2BOvV46NFCqu4lFXamtEXF-COg-LFkamHhYIf2K6PtxXf6ukgXwZYsFbdFGYTBRHUdGcOfc-B/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+54+23+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggSJPwPLGol7VIgUi2HvW4gI4ei5otjzCsuSj5QaeqJ2Q_IaLar1u4w-pRB4l8j80XdGZ2BOvV46NFCqu4lFXamtEXF-COg-LFkamHhYIf2K6PtxXf6ukgXwZYsFbdFGYTBRHUdGcOfc-B/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+54+23+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Here you can configure your buttons (will explain in a little bit) as well as set a few other options. I just realized as I'm typing this what "Backspace to 'To'" is. In a clear text when you tap backspace it will take you back to the "To:" as in to whom you would like to send a text to (derp). Mark all Read will be explained a little later and I don't really know what Dim When Done does.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuZ8WYG9yLegPHfp57emCuf2yWQuYnPaRPpJLJLe2hsPIYxM8z6UxvEa7zD4gEdG6-YtChOY-4QRFu_lkZxFmj-3NBOj5Lizbi4lLo8RxsvLRI-yoezfS3hes-NgVcPF3esUf5DEvqyxDL/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+54+28+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuZ8WYG9yLegPHfp57emCuf2yWQuYnPaRPpJLJLe2hsPIYxM8z6UxvEa7zD4gEdG6-YtChOY-4QRFu_lkZxFmj-3NBOj5Lizbi4lLo8RxsvLRI-yoezfS3hes-NgVcPF3esUf5DEvqyxDL/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+54+28+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Here is the Configure Buttons tab. These will be shows a little later, as in when you get a popup for your quick compose or quick reply.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifRGp92J9lygxtqqs3GHHfKFXjHdRMYIh3o0ZEwHKo6zpPV8c4bKAzEOHkgW9J3Bi8ovUhgOodnnwqiwamjI6kU_AeoyfHroh13NdozqySA_dQdzVdCrkJUF_GvVLOANdxQyEbd4UgCGPZ/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+54+32+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifRGp92J9lygxtqqs3GHHfKFXjHdRMYIh3o0ZEwHKo6zpPV8c4bKAzEOHkgW9J3Bi8ovUhgOodnnwqiwamjI6kU_AeoyfHroh13NdozqySA_dQdzVdCrkJUF_GvVLOANdxQyEbd4UgCGPZ/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+54+32+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
You can set the Home Button to close the quick reply/quick compose and set how many of the above buttons will be shown "per page", that will also be explained a little further down.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBJM4VFDo_xGKhpzMC3fglWa56KWrmJXC_jmE1gDk6GMSLDdF2nhGYm5_ZlRZoRCPQAwFYy5XbLxKm5LzHzgqChVrtn__VXw22B8TJIep25HOr9M0D5PbsaEAy0K85WDrlCa-s3GpfO_hN/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+55+00+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBJM4VFDo_xGKhpzMC3fglWa56KWrmJXC_jmE1gDk6GMSLDdF2nhGYm5_ZlRZoRCPQAwFYy5XbLxKm5LzHzgqChVrtn__VXw22B8TJIep25HOr9M0D5PbsaEAy0K85WDrlCa-s3GpfO_hN/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+55+00+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Let's go back and setup your quick reply. As I'm typing this I'm realizing more and more what these settings do lol Alert style will be either the new Apple notifications or custom quick reply which you will see in a little bit. Here I have open quick reply in NC checked as well, instead of opening the biteSMS app (it is kind of slow and laggy though). Clearing messages will mark them as read so you won't see those silly badges over the icons.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgw3YRMTLeikhIMkSxMe3Za8VlS0sLqM6_9PGDh7YVrfqE4btbIaSWkUrmjulBXX9lUt1NnmB7YchJ5xSsAbHlA7bSQ_6sVjr24bJ_PSXGhE7cC4b7HPeuUp1XDMynXiS4cuKoK1LgFU17/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+55+08+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgw3YRMTLeikhIMkSxMe3Za8VlS0sLqM6_9PGDh7YVrfqE4btbIaSWkUrmjulBXX9lUt1NnmB7YchJ5xSsAbHlA7bSQ_6sVjr24bJ_PSXGhE7cC4b7HPeuUp1XDMynXiS4cuKoK1LgFU17/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+55+08+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
I'll tell you right now that I just changed my alert style to Apple settings and honestly it's less obtrusive :) I don't use dim when done and auto show quick reply is off. What it does is instead of showing up the quick reply window when in lockscreen, I actually have to swipe to quickly reply. Keeps it very nice and tidy, well organized. The same button configuration is present here just like in quick compose settings. A few other settings include showing during a call, showing an SMS and mark all read (which will be explained a little further).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
All the way at the bottom is the more stuff section. Here you can set contact pics, smileys, accents, character counter and more.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgPiNyim_zrFMzrzepikWC2_8gttSeISs15LaMZ_pXY2HuZJ-NMR_Pq5S9WaC9UnSJNmNxAjJOMyssEUnsfL-8L88O4zZWqWbiD2ILYyrhobxZPqOsAd_OKOacoAMGwXjsa3MarUAVcCrE/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+57+33+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgPiNyim_zrFMzrzepikWC2_8gttSeISs15LaMZ_pXY2HuZJ-NMR_Pq5S9WaC9UnSJNmNxAjJOMyssEUnsfL-8L88O4zZWqWbiD2ILYyrhobxZPqOsAd_OKOacoAMGwXjsa3MarUAVcCrE/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+57+33+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
The contact pics tab allows you to choose where you would like to see your contact list pictures.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHg4SPVfTXD91FD-_A_8FOFTOPrWkIHfmz1iI1B_wn6PiOhStz339omxdmTUondVUJn95ZLyNIRwEjd666OzaozBnFFyeb_dEWTXroRqszomR8iFtXVZd_cXiXpnqrGbA5aSON-6D6cLJS/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+57+58+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHg4SPVfTXD91FD-_A_8FOFTOPrWkIHfmz1iI1B_wn6PiOhStz339omxdmTUondVUJn95ZLyNIRwEjd666OzaozBnFFyeb_dEWTXroRqszomR8iFtXVZd_cXiXpnqrGbA5aSON-6D6cLJS/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+57+58+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
And the smileys have a few nice features as well.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgg7Vk5z9kvRi8vDvwwrMxaxgGqGoqaMhBsWqaA8nKh9ovznqjP3S-uVcfFmCI3F1QxLsvprIp9hWPpKbndu59uZ1stsZ9TDqBnfk3esWg8kbtv47ZPOGrxWeSRmNJAj_5XBLod7TeIGmtM/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+58+02+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgg7Vk5z9kvRi8vDvwwrMxaxgGqGoqaMhBsWqaA8nKh9ovznqjP3S-uVcfFmCI3F1QxLsvprIp9hWPpKbndu59uZ1stsZ9TDqBnfk3esWg8kbtv47ZPOGrxWeSRmNJAj_5XBLod7TeIGmtM/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+58+02+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
One of the cool things you can set is use the green Messages icon for biteSMS and then completely hide the stock Messages app from view.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkZxD7sNu8XaHcamb3XqP-RXm3SgY53GtA4PKsX31tOQ4bFbeDyDv-4CWNp2p6aFUopYIe4YsWetFmHROGMcVbehYFlAwT9gsuJ9dZzl1EisvgiRy79bryeeLl-xFfGI02inCwAubXljyz/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+58+19+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkZxD7sNu8XaHcamb3XqP-RXm3SgY53GtA4PKsX31tOQ4bFbeDyDv-4CWNp2p6aFUopYIe4YsWetFmHROGMcVbehYFlAwT9gsuJ9dZzl1EisvgiRy79bryeeLl-xFfGI02inCwAubXljyz/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+58+19+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Okay we're done here let's test this tweak out. As you can see in NC there is a nice pink little icon on the bottom right corner. This is your quick compose setting we chose earlier.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeWev9LyQOi3YRjgItEIJINsw0QuDNIBInjJr7M-7RgDdxHH8VaWIfvB43K8MTiOp2pTID_mlYoPrgSZ2vz8yeosIbF_M9ub3zX-5iBmXNw0KyMQ8Zv-nrFG5zEI1cgNmsn-mZkAWJtLOC/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+58+35+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeWev9LyQOi3YRjgItEIJINsw0QuDNIBInjJr7M-7RgDdxHH8VaWIfvB43K8MTiOp2pTID_mlYoPrgSZ2vz8yeosIbF_M9ub3zX-5iBmXNw0KyMQ8Zv-nrFG5zEI1cgNmsn-mZkAWJtLOC/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+58+35+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Tap on it and here is the popup I spoke of earlier. Let's type a name in and pick a contact.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinFmMxtmh2jySfnAreBeN7Wi7is4cyLyF6HBer5-U0gOO3yTXSrQINR1-s_matwGFVbMMqKG6fdkDEvFLggulO1LZkMuhjMHXoNybTgvZilX6QZhwY7f9NSPrtvHVyxQSEEvyoMLSqKiqB/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+58+54+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinFmMxtmh2jySfnAreBeN7Wi7is4cyLyF6HBer5-U0gOO3yTXSrQINR1-s_matwGFVbMMqKG6fdkDEvFLggulO1LZkMuhjMHXoNybTgvZilX6QZhwY7f9NSPrtvHVyxQSEEvyoMLSqKiqB/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+58+54+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
For this demo I will pick myself (notice the send button changed to blue, as it does in stock Messages when you're going to iMessage someone, in this case myself since I have an iDevice).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHR9bUEQddrXcBLaOp6wiX5mxDrEJk31EORO7oaHZRL8hR0jZplRKhbThqyc5GRnvm8ssKqmbbgXl-U7xwwfxoQ3UhMsNKTXrRq4UMJ2AiTzVpeo41d70yIaDvut_mso7e5Nf62DLGItXu/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+59+18+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHR9bUEQddrXcBLaOp6wiX5mxDrEJk31EORO7oaHZRL8hR0jZplRKhbThqyc5GRnvm8ssKqmbbgXl-U7xwwfxoQ3UhMsNKTXrRq4UMJ2AiTzVpeo41d70yIaDvut_mso7e5Nf62DLGItXu/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+59+18+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
If you notice up above the contact name there is a grey bar with an arrow. If you pull it down it will show you conversation history like so (with included time stamps):<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJP1Uf7hQ917f1RlP1RDNKOXTNDpxYZp2ArXd77X8O5FVgTXnbiX9EEj9nnvd6CMpAvotK84OjDjrX3OHk0dLDFeZMsfccCxnWN5Bw5myOL9QaMN-3tB9scQD8RK-WGNjIczE_9eYnPJXh/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+59+34+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJP1Uf7hQ917f1RlP1RDNKOXTNDpxYZp2ArXd77X8O5FVgTXnbiX9EEj9nnvd6CMpAvotK84OjDjrX3OHk0dLDFeZMsfccCxnWN5Bw5myOL9QaMN-3tB9scQD8RK-WGNjIczE_9eYnPJXh/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+59+34+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Ok so I send myself a test text and here we go in Springboard (or any other app) this is the popup you will see. Notice the buttons we picked before and paging (little gray dots). If you swipe on the buttons you will see another page of those buttons you set before:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdhSajzuUWMXoxP8TVjHiewxnk6hDsm6GzMTMGvSIX1YFJ3Tc754eCosDX0lHsxBPD6VbZyQtnDYz_k3koNctjqtDNBYGxS6LW8nExj2ePa1MUQyxttpdjWqyNsN98fX5XVdFZn4dOzBDe/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+59+59+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdhSajzuUWMXoxP8TVjHiewxnk6hDsm6GzMTMGvSIX1YFJ3Tc754eCosDX0lHsxBPD6VbZyQtnDYz_k3koNctjqtDNBYGxS6LW8nExj2ePa1MUQyxttpdjWqyNsN98fX5XVdFZn4dOzBDe/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+12+59+59+PM.png" width="213" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-PUzQ2JJReSp1eMgER-whReW-PxU1j-HeybWT8C57-L5I0IiaMQdPd1HgnnrBhmwLq7YbeCUwrrdvRoAeun6JfI0AvsScYg5WOAoTekGeU0F8ti98pmQ-U1ikzoZSm7VSNR5IPbl2Ec2n/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+13+00+03+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-PUzQ2JJReSp1eMgER-whReW-PxU1j-HeybWT8C57-L5I0IiaMQdPd1HgnnrBhmwLq7YbeCUwrrdvRoAeun6JfI0AvsScYg5WOAoTekGeU0F8ti98pmQ-U1ikzoZSm7VSNR5IPbl2Ec2n/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+13+00+03+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Let's tap on later and see the same message in NC:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2dllW5ME1nO-KS_JpNS-qUSLU4pWgnAmV7qrzYCq9ULwqRZBiooUzrTryBEYYVd3Snt9zRXAhLDOQWfzW6mIE2SVrLfJk4MNUBDnsIU57y8fU_D6dtuszSDZ5evYeMTK93iI7EWLqdX69/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+13+00+18+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2dllW5ME1nO-KS_JpNS-qUSLU4pWgnAmV7qrzYCq9ULwqRZBiooUzrTryBEYYVd3Snt9zRXAhLDOQWfzW6mIE2SVrLfJk4MNUBDnsIU57y8fU_D6dtuszSDZ5evYeMTK93iI7EWLqdX69/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+13+00+18+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Once tapped on, you will see the exact same window to popup. You can reply then and there when you receive the message, or select later to come back to it at a later time (YES THIS WORKS IN ANY APP OR GAME YOU'RE IN SINCE THIS IS FROM NOTIFICATION CENTER = AWESOME).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgV0uUnfyVo0tLLxt-Yz550-XFNfrKtiKyr1hd1Q4C3gvDTyvb8W000JFuX75DpQLTzCHE5uks9Sm1usdVcJmTtV09X6sXsSv_S0bk_3zOSiowONpQPwDFDjOg0nPWqJiNtPSyjoRDXUWb/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+13+00+21+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgV0uUnfyVo0tLLxt-Yz550-XFNfrKtiKyr1hd1Q4C3gvDTyvb8W000JFuX75DpQLTzCHE5uks9Sm1usdVcJmTtV09X6sXsSv_S0bk_3zOSiowONpQPwDFDjOg0nPWqJiNtPSyjoRDXUWb/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+13+00+21+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
And the same button swipe action like before, and yes this supports landscape mode as well :) Buttons are pushed to the right side of the screen (forgot to take a pic of this but yes it does work).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvHBUOjuajhOKm8aUY5OhgSHZEh6ooy3qAGAFpZwKARmRzlT8oGmQYZOWU-1sNmSmp5kRJ2kau5HOJbd9SbnnIOUzLgd-HhlAKrgU7SWngO4Rj3-OnIH0b5ACc90USpJfse9XQ3VFHzP0M/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+13+00+24+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvHBUOjuajhOKm8aUY5OhgSHZEh6ooy3qAGAFpZwKARmRzlT8oGmQYZOWU-1sNmSmp5kRJ2kau5HOJbd9SbnnIOUzLgd-HhlAKrgU7SWngO4Rj3-OnIH0b5ACc90USpJfse9XQ3VFHzP0M/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+13+00+24+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Now, let's resend the same text but this time a view from the lockscreen. Once you get a text you can swipe to reply and the quick reply window will pop up. Or you can wait for a later time to do so (you're busy etc etc).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQ1y0oIc20e4Uu-hlUIl42CbQNdE0Ucnoh8o2l8NXB1qKQarGezGY4fLVvlF_kHs0whzVw6D0Dvn59iNL1Iq3Gb2FRNoqBGFVGoRNJXjY-g2hHeISFzBagFzFacYhtcMc40HIeCrFVv0Vw/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+13+00+46+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQ1y0oIc20e4Uu-hlUIl42CbQNdE0Ucnoh8o2l8NXB1qKQarGezGY4fLVvlF_kHs0whzVw6D0Dvn59iNL1Iq3Gb2FRNoqBGFVGoRNJXjY-g2hHeISFzBagFzFacYhtcMc40HIeCrFVv0Vw/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+13+00+46+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
If you can't reply and get back to it at a later time here is how the text will look like:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUEgMHlnQjGcxBC31L08HCh_IvaHDYk03djUWSiNOj9XSAJ1kK9OkP5v789s3rCWMXhXyf4hW6ouOAkz7CxXqePoTEe7FiP-zO8wk6qTOEISx3cbJGyjPH7vKtjZu1CO_MM9_llbiFXJ5m/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+13+00+49+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUEgMHlnQjGcxBC31L08HCh_IvaHDYk03djUWSiNOj9XSAJ1kK9OkP5v789s3rCWMXhXyf4hW6ouOAkz7CxXqePoTEe7FiP-zO8wk6qTOEISx3cbJGyjPH7vKtjZu1CO_MM9_llbiFXJ5m/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+13+00+49+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
As you can see when I tap on the text icon you will read "slide for quick reply" text string just like the slide to unlock. Very nice attention to detail here. If you don't want to reply, simply tap on the icon and you will be presented with an "x" on the far right side which will dismiss the text (remember, it will be marked as read just like we set it to before).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiisCGEJPYxJWoxLwHU4wHdspkzDDCXxjHyIC7WA7tXf88yQN0VcouV_dWvF0e6FUinAOdwc_K4MNC07i8cs0i_E6652L9kAwS-OdmrraQyYfCgWxicnpeR819EnpjYi42UZ3No4VsXXqP3/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+13+00+56+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiisCGEJPYxJWoxLwHU4wHdspkzDDCXxjHyIC7WA7tXf88yQN0VcouV_dWvF0e6FUinAOdwc_K4MNC07i8cs0i_E6652L9kAwS-OdmrraQyYfCgWxicnpeR819EnpjYi42UZ3No4VsXXqP3/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+13+00+56+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the quick reply while in lockscreen (same like before, no need to unlock your iDevice):<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilySP8rHGt9tp-lmjKye82TzblJ1bTxvltzXekb_QZBvnibLSk6h51zf8z5xs_9bwWyAlutP12VNzCiPpQMz2lvI0n3zNsYWeDOaweFmrnVxZIHJYq5YLEVF8IYcheAjWLkdr0H-1UVdhN/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+13+01+03+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilySP8rHGt9tp-lmjKye82TzblJ1bTxvltzXekb_QZBvnibLSk6h51zf8z5xs_9bwWyAlutP12VNzCiPpQMz2lvI0n3zNsYWeDOaweFmrnVxZIHJYq5YLEVF8IYcheAjWLkdr0H-1UVdhN/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+13+01+03+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
And the same button setup:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0EXQ7PcCwpQcXVf9LCj9d72M_OEzs49-0kGMyIrW41Ye76slsNCOoEdlsqwYSSvENpRnvC9UMvcoRq3l5QVEII4lH1LEl8n6Jm2qDpelU0EgTN4KmEcGFyVzcWPSvgmyTwgTA-mZvoRDj/s1600/Photo+Jan+20%252C+13+01+14+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0EXQ7PcCwpQcXVf9LCj9d72M_OEzs49-0kGMyIrW41Ye76slsNCOoEdlsqwYSSvENpRnvC9UMvcoRq3l5QVEII4lH1LEl8n6Jm2qDpelU0EgTN4KmEcGFyVzcWPSvgmyTwgTA-mZvoRDj/s320/Photo+Jan+20%252C+13+01+14+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Well that was quite a mouthfull of a review. I hope I covered everything I possibly could about biteSMS. It is available in the BigBoss repo for free with a 14 day advertisment display or you can support the team by buying a license and no ads for ever. I don't remember exactly how much it cost, I assume around $7 but do not quote me on that. Created by the biteSMS team.<br />

I'm back though and to start it off I have a tweak called MutliIconMover. The name is kind of self-explanatory, it allows you to move multiple icons at one time. There are no Settings to configure so let's just go ahead see what it does. To start off, go to a page or folder where your desired icons are that you wish to move.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKk00J4xIcH9BRJB9_uSUgAEqL4JwQEQ1K586k08lvkSr1wFep4TlGIp7Gxf6WBtuxovNsB1j_oBxeCs4EASmx3N4XtcgWBLjT04l-Ujeq3hNrSM3pNK7TXfPIk-g7cXQMmrg92QR11TXz/s1600/Photo+Jan+12%252C+12+27+3+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKk00J4xIcH9BRJB9_uSUgAEqL4JwQEQ1K586k08lvkSr1wFep4TlGIp7Gxf6WBtuxovNsB1j_oBxeCs4EASmx3N4XtcgWBLjT04l-Ujeq3hNrSM3pNK7TXfPIk-g7cXQMmrg92QR11TXz/s320/Photo+Jan+12%252C+12+27+3+PM.png" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Tap and hold on any one of them to enter "wiggle mode"<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieseP-cc5veOLmLY50mZjsnoFvHCSdUd8M15FzHHKf7tWiM2pePdauMBZOkZt9dEIi9-CMzVbwYo47-RvVxZDdsNbD7dGRKodxr33DDx2kijVwvb-7G7cb9VPBuZagzfBDeA0spltBnOPm/s1600/Photo+Jan+12%252C+12+27+5+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieseP-cc5veOLmLY50mZjsnoFvHCSdUd8M15FzHHKf7tWiM2pePdauMBZOkZt9dEIi9-CMzVbwYo47-RvVxZDdsNbD7dGRKodxr33DDx2kijVwvb-7G7cb9VPBuZagzfBDeA0spltBnOPm/s320/Photo+Jan+12%252C+12+27+5+PM.png" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Now just go ahead and tap on the desired icons and you'll see a checkmark pop up on the lower right of each icon. I had to take these pics with my sister's 4S since screenshot didn't want to comply with MultiIconMover for some reason.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2p0lkX5qoWdaqtlNgpst6am7NjV3K-41iwTuqSlK3Bvq9BCtsuzPxxC-a58u7OZ0kcs__FZVtZo9FNSmq9_JN5zdFw0RPVhiPsPG5QiqvIULTGEt38lNohVvdco5jVzNQ6J-7IvjU7R9r/s1600/Photo+Jan+12%252C+12+27+6+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2p0lkX5qoWdaqtlNgpst6am7NjV3K-41iwTuqSlK3Bvq9BCtsuzPxxC-a58u7OZ0kcs__FZVtZo9FNSmq9_JN5zdFw0RPVhiPsPG5QiqvIULTGEt38lNohVvdco5jVzNQ6J-7IvjU7R9r/s320/Photo+Jan+12%252C+12+27+6+PM.png" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
After selecting your icons, go to a desired page or folder (for folder it is recommended to have FolderEnhancer installed) and press the Home button. Your selected icons will be moved to that spot (as long as there is enough room). If you select more icons than there is room available, only a few will be moved.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3oe-2q4XazmaU5p17JMHE5dLnxkGg2SoQI2TLUJM_YvlC8R3BD9NK4OmC-nUvwcKh3fCrQWSHAll409kWnQsEwdSGor81oXK6JyOiCFokDvDGJiFgDk0aF5W0yWGXD0jfx75bXVX5Vm9r/s1600/Photo+Jan+12%252C+12+27+8+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3oe-2q4XazmaU5p17JMHE5dLnxkGg2SoQI2TLUJM_YvlC8R3BD9NK4OmC-nUvwcKh3fCrQWSHAll409kWnQsEwdSGor81oXK6JyOiCFokDvDGJiFgDk0aF5W0yWGXD0jfx75bXVX5Vm9r/s320/Photo+Jan+12%252C+12+27+8+PM.png" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
And that's all there is to it! Very useful tweak for organizing your Springboard and folders. Available in the BigBoss repo for free, courtesy of Lance Fetters (ashikase).<br />

Got a special for ya it's called CallBar. In iOS 5 Apple remade their notifications so you can choose what style and the new style is that little bar up top on the screen when you get a text or whatever. Well the guys behind CallBar took that and made it so it just fits with iOS 5. Let me show you what I mean, head on over to your Settings app.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh81Op6vuOwHCuJ8W77i50WplYJTWFBVuL7jvopngJVTosV9UIaxbofMhd9f7TzRNfkfvH7Uqt70LJtw5h6kiZGDEFKwAYpa8akynAFZfa9FgBP7rgphLJhIj0evi8mQhk_ihnm0vfyRjf_/s1600/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+23+56+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh81Op6vuOwHCuJ8W77i50WplYJTWFBVuL7jvopngJVTosV9UIaxbofMhd9f7TzRNfkfvH7Uqt70LJtw5h6kiZGDEFKwAYpa8akynAFZfa9FgBP7rgphLJhIj0evi8mQhk_ihnm0vfyRjf_/s320/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+23+56+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Your basic settings for Call bar are enable, use at lockscreen, for your Phone app, Facetime, Skype and Viber. I'll tell you more about dialer activation in just a second, it's an Activator gesture for a "quick call" from any app you'll see soon enough. There's also voicemail button option, as well as answer in place meaning you can answer anyone who's calling in any app and continue using that app and talk on phone at the same time. Convenient huh? I like that feature a lot. Although been a little buggy when in a game, I can hear game sounds and music during call so I always press Home to get out of the game.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGCa1Xkv3X8fABj5xJAKPmRSQO_RHXm7Kz39UEbBodWq_cRzhlVplO5WimUndUwScQifUnTjsueDS2iQzb_W0JC979Glu9tvjzLBFkQBjYK0VAUwjqlhgA4ptKLCu3sPwc99JB8J1orrcE/s1600/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+23+59+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGCa1Xkv3X8fABj5xJAKPmRSQO_RHXm7Kz39UEbBodWq_cRzhlVplO5WimUndUwScQifUnTjsueDS2iQzb_W0JC979Glu9tvjzLBFkQBjYK0VAUwjqlhgA4ptKLCu3sPwc99JB8J1orrcE/s320/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+23+59+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Call pickup method is for you to decide how you'd like to answer a phone call. Swipe gestures mean slide to the right to answer or slide to the left to decline (on top of the call bar itself). Or the older style of answer-decline buttons, which I personally like better.<br />

<br />
And you have your lock button action which you can set to whatever you'd like either lock the screen or decline the call. Volume buttons mute it and I'll show you that as well.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhenx_rE-a68GGfLoEJ9YgQ47vSqGvCqRwHAk1ypT_1NaVGpKIbiiyw9Wa7CH1YuvgGnqfGTN7Dxr9MUn8Tf4e6yVLA1wSp3qEgrI0gcUcWFY7bxs_Xq5-PWxcGgfb0Axq-DHVbWl7Vguvs/s1600/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+24+45+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhenx_rE-a68GGfLoEJ9YgQ47vSqGvCqRwHAk1ypT_1NaVGpKIbiiyw9Wa7CH1YuvgGnqfGTN7Dxr9MUn8Tf4e6yVLA1wSp3qEgrI0gcUcWFY7bxs_Xq5-PWxcGgfb0Axq-DHVbWl7Vguvs/s320/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+24+45+PM.png" width="213" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjs_UYgUxAphWEnEI3zWwjZCkefpQr3xKIMNOsG9SjQEOQ5zAWFrb4HJYb1B6wye0oOs8lh74WYG7T5Le2l2fgeqNsbHBb5iL2dTjZXAxncGX4jenmcg9JepX_kgxaSes7L-0R91DLnlx7/s1600/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+24+47+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjs_UYgUxAphWEnEI3zWwjZCkefpQr3xKIMNOsG9SjQEOQ5zAWFrb4HJYb1B6wye0oOs8lh74WYG7T5Le2l2fgeqNsbHBb5iL2dTjZXAxncGX4jenmcg9JepX_kgxaSes7L-0R91DLnlx7/s320/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+24+47+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
So, this is the "quick call" or dialer activation method:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpqlR0PLXpw1w-fYUnQ_hLZ9LOu6TvTm-c6yJoUsKJIfkGauVi1yd7sBOP5C-mmNH7W6v_CvQVx_DyMybE752RB30_8deX9A7vwA7IcWzMMw26MmxHqkvu3mNJh5RS5n_szRRbPcyvcxHv/s1600/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+25+01+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpqlR0PLXpw1w-fYUnQ_hLZ9LOu6TvTm-c6yJoUsKJIfkGauVi1yd7sBOP5C-mmNH7W6v_CvQVx_DyMybE752RB30_8deX9A7vwA7IcWzMMw26MmxHqkvu3mNJh5RS5n_szRRbPcyvcxHv/s320/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+25+01+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Instead of quitting your app, you can set yourself an Activator action (I have mine set to double tap on status bar) and the dialer will be invoked. The buttons you get are your favorites, history, contacts, keypad, voicemail and backspace or delete buttons. When you tap on any of those, you'll get your normal screen like you would inside the Phone app, but the keypad looks very nice and clean which will be invoked like this:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKVutLj21cheJXh22rRqO86XglSEySmq-cRwyWXo_-kgJxJGRxtQT7lGHGn7Ww9xmhP730LuO3cFJ7_M5lId2NNr3FRbJFNs3aTrGxAJG5yVA7QhmpAtMH7y_xaxMLAzshVZvVnCiHaK9a/s1600/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+25+04+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKVutLj21cheJXh22rRqO86XglSEySmq-cRwyWXo_-kgJxJGRxtQT7lGHGn7Ww9xmhP730LuO3cFJ7_M5lId2NNr3FRbJFNs3aTrGxAJG5yVA7QhmpAtMH7y_xaxMLAzshVZvVnCiHaK9a/s320/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+25+04+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
So let's test out CallBar. Here I had my girlfriend call me and for some reason my phone did not let me take screenshots so I used my sister's 4S camera to take these. Sorry for the blurr, still tired and sleepy hah. Okay, when someone calls you (lockscreen, homescreen, any app) you will see CallBar like this:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7E2ObYGmk1hF7016SvrQNFOMvz8b9zXgtUAX2AVAXXc4tSU_Jh43OrT4M5mM4TG01-YOWP9tUAjmSsTA_rtBXv4AsxQCz-BNiD7QGrFU8LlbsuZ2iWu-r7uV5sVpIbuUhvnlJ3xxjp7qt/s1600/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+25+10+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7E2ObYGmk1hF7016SvrQNFOMvz8b9zXgtUAX2AVAXXc4tSU_Jh43OrT4M5mM4TG01-YOWP9tUAjmSsTA_rtBXv4AsxQCz-BNiD7QGrFU8LlbsuZ2iWu-r7uV5sVpIbuUhvnlJ3xxjp7qt/s320/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+25+10+PM.png" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Picture, name, phone, and number as well as those answer-decline buttons. Press the volume key (I think it doesn't matter which one, I always pressed the -) and you'll mute the call like so:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJYpyEEJVwwjKa2jyHvOvR9uIOhqPg28MlRESuHKYQHmsJpy0KT3LxHH32ViV9XqvlkBPFWogB35RpibzcsI5LXds9k9noqYrrVC0HFk7b3M8-Hs-Ec-7qNaB8rT4PrlCUEkLAsMpWJ0az/s1600/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+25+12+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJYpyEEJVwwjKa2jyHvOvR9uIOhqPg28MlRESuHKYQHmsJpy0KT3LxHH32ViV9XqvlkBPFWogB35RpibzcsI5LXds9k9noqYrrVC0HFk7b3M8-Hs-Ec-7qNaB8rT4PrlCUEkLAsMpWJ0az/s320/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+25+12+PM.png" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
You will see 2 phones on both sides which will be colored (I think) and the left one toggles back the ringing and the right one declines the call. When you answer you will see the following:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIZ5ZKOVw4psM060uTcoJSIZa0HW9j4Ksx3HhH0itczYz-lHkmvosmq0hPKa1wv2b0Qwi0zx0HFifM7oitjZk1VRy0rflHsVI9OzOJT-mQ372jQumE4UU5UUaSh0aezfnJbuTalOS8KkNu/s1600/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+25+15+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIZ5ZKOVw4psM060uTcoJSIZa0HW9j4Ksx3HhH0itczYz-lHkmvosmq0hPKa1wv2b0Qwi0zx0HFifM7oitjZk1VRy0rflHsVI9OzOJT-mQ372jQumE4UU5UUaSh0aezfnJbuTalOS8KkNu/s320/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+25+15+PM.png" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Notice icon of which app you're using for the call (in this case, Phone app) and the contact picture is on the right side, name is on top left with call time below it. Now, you can tap on the CallBar and the little buttons will come out again (mute, keypad, speaker, add call, hold and bluetooth).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEga7hDOAN8OMU_VoTnMn3Jih2RM2t5oqpslrsZVmfoPYppqJW6a-QiSjVRYxS4cIDAU9B-zw7WnAbUKwlIGXxMYIjDEZGlvx-D0VZ2EVK_g31A1dMZhTuAfFkONabA7IignTKdV5X2SHaQ0/s1600/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+25+17+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEga7hDOAN8OMU_VoTnMn3Jih2RM2t5oqpslrsZVmfoPYppqJW6a-QiSjVRYxS4cIDAU9B-zw7WnAbUKwlIGXxMYIjDEZGlvx-D0VZ2EVK_g31A1dMZhTuAfFkONabA7IignTKdV5X2SHaQ0/s320/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+25+17+PM.png" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
To end the call all you do is swipe to the left on top of CallBar. That's it! Quite handy and not that complicated once you get used to it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkNYeqzQa4bR8zhp3gwUoKjJks9MnEZZkZIdP2yFPQ63QE-6CxqLY2Ega-6TQEjXSqGHRI51K-8nbc1bWoPT6qnyOJ9gtAO7FzG-jfzMzdPvNEgKM_7fbvENn6XzSjyO_4qfnQvm-mNoEE/s1600/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+31+13+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkNYeqzQa4bR8zhp3gwUoKjJks9MnEZZkZIdP2yFPQ63QE-6CxqLY2Ega-6TQEjXSqGHRI51K-8nbc1bWoPT6qnyOJ9gtAO7FzG-jfzMzdPvNEgKM_7fbvENn6XzSjyO_4qfnQvm-mNoEE/s320/Photo+Jan+07%252C+12+31+13+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
CallBar can be found under the BigBoss repo for $3.99 (well worth it! I think I bought it for $2 when it first came out). Created by E. Limneos and J. Tucker.<br />

Nice detailed section included in case I missed something you can read up over there. Well that's what CallBar is, another great tweak and another reason to jailbreak you iDevice. Yes I have it on my iPhone but I think it works on iPods and iPads since it supports Skype, Facetime and Viber calls. Again sorry to keep you waiting for that long but I promise to make it up with more great tweaks for you all. Feel free to donate a few cents for more awesome tweaks that aren't free (like this one), you can follow me on Google+ and Twitter say hi or whatever :) Dress up, don't get sick like me! Cheers!klmahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15617812395492137113noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7843253794877265151.post-3847075141039439652012-01-02T01:43:00.001-06:002012-01-04T20:53:23.959-06:00Tweak #18 - Spire<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Spire, a legal Siri port for non-iPhone 4S devices. There is a catch to this but I'll explain later on. Head on over to your Settings app.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iTXQBtSwyJw/TwUPI7gVY9I/AAAAAAAAAZg/5Z2uqzbjTQ8/s1600/Photo+Jan+04%252C+8+41+17+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iTXQBtSwyJw/TwUPI7gVY9I/AAAAAAAAAZg/5Z2uqzbjTQ8/s320/Photo+Jan+04%252C+8+41+17+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
As you can see Spire let's you type in a Proxy Host address, meaning this will only work if you or anyone you know has a working Siri Proxy Server.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-l0naMVsLxaM/TwUPJB5wecI/AAAAAAAAAZo/oXd2KC_SnqY/s1600/Photo+Jan+04%252C+8+41+29+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-l0naMVsLxaM/TwUPJB5wecI/AAAAAAAAAZo/oXd2KC_SnqY/s320/Photo+Jan+04%252C+8+41+29+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
When you press and hold the home button you will see that Spire is not configured.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-eTYCkcgHFPI/TwUPJmlZeAI/AAAAAAAAAZw/dqr5y7f83gU/s1600/Photo+Jan+04%252C+8+41+37+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-eTYCkcgHFPI/TwUPJmlZeAI/AAAAAAAAAZw/dqr5y7f83gU/s320/Photo+Jan+04%252C+8+41+37+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
What you need to do before hand is to go into your General settings and you'll see Siri. Tap on it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PgfRfTXrQmU/TwUPJwuPgTI/AAAAAAAAAZ4/dBOFkvj7Guo/s1600/Photo+Jan+04%252C+8+41+45+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PgfRfTXrQmU/TwUPJwuPgTI/AAAAAAAAAZ4/dBOFkvj7Guo/s320/Photo+Jan+04%252C+8+41+45+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Now enable Siri (disabled by default).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RDe719zITAo/TwUPKK-UIwI/AAAAAAAAAaA/Kcr8fwYDuQ0/s1600/Photo+Jan+04%252C+8+41+51+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RDe719zITAo/TwUPKK-UIwI/AAAAAAAAAaA/Kcr8fwYDuQ0/s320/Photo+Jan+04%252C+8+41+51+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
Now go back into Spire and type in a host address (for this article I'm using Spiritjb website).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CANVMYlhgi8/TwUPKgjxWGI/AAAAAAAAAaI/GK9ClXnk02U/s1600/Photo+Jan+04%252C+8+42+17+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CANVMYlhgi8/TwUPKgjxWGI/AAAAAAAAAaI/GK9ClXnk02U/s320/Photo+Jan+04%252C+8+42+17+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
And there you go! Siri in all of it's glory on your non-iPhone 4S device!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--olWf7ZhAQk/TwUPK3Ra21I/AAAAAAAAAaQ/-iwsf-8A5Rg/s1600/Photo+Jan+04%252C+8+42+24+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--olWf7ZhAQk/TwUPK3Ra21I/AAAAAAAAAaQ/-iwsf-8A5Rg/s320/Photo+Jan+04%252C+8+42+24+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
But wait a minute, there's a problem. Yup that's right. That proxy server has to be up and runing otherwise you'll see the following messages from Siri:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Gcj0phR2X8c/TwUPLhGTs3I/AAAAAAAAAaY/PQmEXdYqIBg/s1600/Photo+Jan+04%252C+8+42+48+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Gcj0phR2X8c/TwUPLhGTs3I/AAAAAAAAAaY/PQmEXdYqIBg/s320/Photo+Jan+04%252C+8+42+48+PM.png" width="213" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_J-nhVpUqwU/TwUPMR4-1VI/AAAAAAAAAag/NbT3zEGlpFg/s1600/Photo+Jan+04%252C+8+43+01+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_J-nhVpUqwU/TwUPMR4-1VI/AAAAAAAAAag/NbT3zEGlpFg/s320/Photo+Jan+04%252C+8+43+01+PM.png" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
I have setup my own server at home, but had issues with it (that's what's been taking up my time recently). Once I get it working, I'll make sure to share with you all!<br />
